I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I got tired of starting over and working back to where I was, so I have stopped giving up!

I've been doing okay. I've been doing something each day with my kids. Last week 2 martial arts classes and 1 cage fitness. This week I am fitting in an extra class and discovered handball with the kids.

Since Isabel is testing soon most practice has been around her, but it helps me too so I don't mind.

I'll look at it this way, for all challenges. If nothing else, August will be the comparison point, a goal for me to beat next month emoticon

Checking in ladies, how's everyone doing with their fitness goals?
I'm doing something at least 6 days a week and even if I don't make it to class, I'm working my forms and basics.

I may not be there yet but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

I wrote out some goals out on my personal page.

I have begun to do daily warm ups and then immediately follow it up with my white belt practice. Totals about 15-20 minutes.

I did a fitness test today, how many jumping jacks, sit-ups and push-ups can I do in a minute (for each exercise). I am not thrilled with how few I can do, but I'll post my improvements as I can do more next week.

I've been using Wii-Active daily for about 30 minutes for about a week. Some of the exercises are very simple, but some are pure EVIL - such as hold a squat for 60 seconds! I'm am convinced this is impossible, but I did what I could. Overall it burns between 250-300 calories each session and has about 18-20 different exercises to keep it interesting.

Yes Alicia, that's what it means.
I've done some endurance training the last few days. Instead of slow for 1 and hard for 2 I'm trying to pace myself to 60+ minutes of continuous (other than walking, got that). It happens more than I care to admit, I'll have to slow or rest in class for a minute or so, I'd love to not have that issue anymore!

Training: Aim for any training that will assist your Martial Arts skills and abilities at least 4 days a week. If you do any weight training, remember at least 1 full day rest for the muscle group/s trained!
