It has been forever since I have posted any miles. I'm not exactly sure of what they are, but I know I would be safe to put in a total of "30 miles". I peddled the stationary bike a lot during the winter, and have been walking Miss Andi Bug lately. Hopefully I will get back on track with posting.

On May 20, CBRINKLEY reported us at 31539.85 miles. Since then, Jeannie has added 608.89 miles, and I've added 697.35, bringing us to 32846.09 miles as a team.

Divide that by the 238857 miles to the moon, and it says we are now 13.7% of the way there. Gee, the moon's a lot farther away than Cuba is from Key West!

Methinks we need to pump it up turtles. Who else wants to add some miles to the journey?

20 minutes of moderate exercise will add a mile. 10 minutes of vigorous exercise will add a mile. And of course REAL miles traveled on foot, on a bike or in the pool count, too. Or if you are a step counter, 2000 steps is what we've been using for a standard "mile".

You don't have to convert 'em, I'll be along when I total and convert them for you! Seriously, this is easy way to contribute to a team whimsey! And you'll be fitter for it, too.

Let's keep on headed for that high goal: THE MOON, Turtles! emoticon emoticon

Since last report (7/21 - 9/1/2013, inclusive): 575,691 steps / 2000 steps per mile = 287.85 miles.

Add 16 miles for my Sprint distance tri in which I did not wear the step counter, and you get 303.85 miles to contribute.

Since I last posted (3/3 - 5/18/2013): 917,823 steps on the pedometer / 2000 steps per mile conversion = 458.91 miles.

That should push us a bit down the road toward "the moon"! emoticon emoticon
