Had the dog out for 5km, then had a strength training session for chest, triceps, shoulders (all the push muscles). Heading out for a hike this evening if it cooks off some.

Soooooooooooo the last three weeks have not been good for me "moving-wise". Yes I've gotten in some yard work, a bit of heavy cleaning and some swimming/aqua fitness, but "stepping-wise" I'm too embarrassed to mention it. My feet and ankles have been terrible and right now my left foot is swollen to mid calf - who knows why - but I've been to the doctors and it seems, "it is what it is" - just another part of wear and tear breakdown on a formerly very active 65 year old body.

Haven't been getting much exercise the last week or two due to shin splint recovery. I have a 5K this Saturday!

My wee one has been pushing himself further daily and is insisting on walking on his own MUCH more. Before I know it, he'll be a full grown puppy! When he isn't walking, he is watching his big sister so that he can learn how to "doggie". I look forward to when we can all go on long walks together.

May 31: 6963 steps and 30 min. Gazelling (enough of that "take it easy" stuff even though I'm still to keep activity down
May 30: 5682 steps and 20 min. Gazelling (activity was to be kept to a minimum for most of the day)
May 29: 3448 steps and 15 min. Gazelling (before I had three upper front teeth extracted and then I was told not to move "at all" for the rest of the day!)

I have been down for a week from horrible shin splints. Yesterday I got on the elliptical for half an hour anyway. I shouldn't do it too much because even that hurt, but it was nice to move again!
