Today more cleaning, moved into new home that builder unfortunately left in construction clean mode. I'm furious, probably burned up a lot of energy in anger.

Also did some simple aerobic exercises and strength training.

OK folks, it's no secret I'm struggling. When I think about just a few years back when I took my ability to exercise every day for granted...now between bad feet, bad knees, bad hips and bad back...and to boot I've caught every darn germ this past winter and spring that the grands have brought home for school...colds and gastrointestinal bugs...I'm struggling, but I keep trying as I must.

There are few things more fun than other people's puppies. emoticon The training, socialization, housebreaking, & waiting for bones to develop enough for long walks, runs or agility isn't something I want to do anymore. I think.

Walked today and lots of packing. At this point I'm starting to get panicked as time is running out.

We're hoping that we can find a rescue group that has whippets. Our greyhound is a very small grey and would get along well with a whippet. I think a pup would be too much for us.

Ooo, whippets are such sweet dogs! There was one years ago in a Rally class that my Basset & I took. Seemed much mellower & less delicate than the couple of IGs I've known. For some reason, she & my Basset hit it off. Maybe because they were the only hounds in a class full of "performance" herding types! emoticon (They both did great though!)

Was it a whippet party? We're thinking of getting a whippet to keep our little greyhound company after we lost our other greyhound in February, only after we complete our move to Pensacola. My husband wants an Italian greyhound, but think they might be more high strung. Our greyhound is very serene.
