Calories (1200-1550): 1838
Carbs (163-236): 228

This is a kind of guesstimate today!

14/25 days I stayed within range...a little better than 50% of the time, and most days I was over, it was only by 100 calories or so. Lost 3 pounds in that time! Onward to May!

I was over the last two days, not by too much but it will slow my progress if I keep this up! Yesterday, I just ate too much, but today I didn't have a plan B when I ended up spending the whole afternoon and early evening in the doctor's office. Got too hungry!

Down a kilo at my weigh-in today! WooHOOO! I know it has a lot to do with this challenge...paying attention to those figures.

That's the good news...on the other hand, I went over abit on carbs today. Guess I wasn't paying ENOUGH attention!

A good day, but I was soooo hungry this afternoon! Must be the cold-again weather or something. Big salad in the evening helped.

L2EXERCISE, thanks for the reminder. I need to get some protein powder. Someday it'll be warm enough for frozen smoothies again!

Went over my calorie range and need to do better with proteins by reducing carbs and fat. I did not do the eggs and protein shakes I usually do to increase my protein intake. It was the weekend! I did 2+ hours of yard work though.

Not too bad for a Saturday (I have trouble onthe weekend) the carbs fat and protein are off because I went to Qdoba and just had a kid size quesadilla...I knew it was 350 cals but didn't have the rest of the nutritional information.

I started exercising 3 times per week since Feb 2 with NO weightloss. I was sort of watching my foods. The tracker really highlights the areas you need to work on. Started tracking this week and added some 40 min walking sessions. I have seen a 2 lb decrease this week!

I've gone over on calories by about 25 for the last two days. emoticon It's frustrating. Just a tiny bit less and I'd be in range. Tomorrow's another day... I'm also not losing anything, even an ounce which is a little frustrating. I was expecting early results, even just water weight, but I definitely know I'm eating healthier and in better portions. The rest has to come soon. Right?

4th day tracking nutrition. Very helpful keeping me in range. Even though went over yesterday tracking helped me today and I even worked in my favorite snack.

I love the nutrition tracker. It works because I've found I often forget what foods I've eaten and how many more I am allowed to eat. I'm hooked on the SP Nutrition Tracker. Its convenient. Its even on my phone!

Ok, 4/7 was NOT a stellar day, so I didn't even journal...let's just say with hubby's b-day celebration at Red Lobster, and the boys' selection of pizza for dinner last night, I KNOW I didn't come close to my range. Today is a new day though :)

I didn't do too well yesterday - my boyfriend made dinner for me and what I thought were lean turkey meatballs turned out to be regular meatballs and threw off my whole count for the day. Oy.

I had lean ground beef instead of lean ground turkey, b/c I really dont like turkey, and went over for fat today...it's really all about choices.

This is a great challenge for me. At this point, I think it is the key to my getting healthy by understanding just what I'm eating every day. I am trying to log everything I eat. Here's what today looked like:

Calories (Range 1200-1550): 1642
Carbs (163-236): 195
Fat (32-56): 76
Protein (60-127): 51

Well, I passed on everything but the fat :( Peanuts for a snack, PB&J sandwich for lunch AND a Butterfinger Easter candy probably wasn't the best combo to have today ;) Will try again tomorrow!

Days in range--2

I'm assuming if I stayed in-range on calories I can count today? It was a good day. I felt like I had plenty to eat--not feeling deprived at all. I'm a little surprised by that... However, I'm definitely eating less than I was before I started tracking!

Since I ate one meal in a café today, I had to guesstimate a little - was low on fiber and had to fill up on fruit this afternoon. Back to my usual high-fiber breakfast tomorrow. Also had to be really careful not to go over my fat range - those peanuts as a snack weren't maybe the best choice! This challenge is going to be good for me, I can tell. I haven't been paying attention lately.

Wow - I was wondering if I was going to be alone on this one and today there are a bunch of posts! YAY!

Let me just add that it would be a help to me if you keep track of how many days you stay within your ranges so I can take a count at the end of the month without scrolling back forever, ok? Thanks! Now I have to go enter the Easter Monday brunch I ate today - uh oh!

P.S.And YES, you can cut and paste by clicking on EDIT MY POST! That does make things a lot easier!

I'm proud of myself today. Even with Easter, I stayed within all my ranges except protein, low on that. Here's the info--

Calories (1200-1550): 1226
Fat (32-56): 33
Carbs (163-236): 180
Protein (60-127): 52

Anyone know of an easy way to cut and paste this info? It's a pain to go back and forth between windows!

I've been tracking on Calorie King and haven't swithed everything over to here yet. But I'll work on it this week -- seems like a nicer place to be.

Yikes, Easter Sunday -- brunch at the club house then friends back home -- way too much wine -- can't eat for the rest of the day

Renee - you accept the challenge by posting here in this thread. You'll post your ranges, and then your actual daily count. The challenge is to stay within your ranges on a daily basis. Whoever has met that goal on the most days by the end of the month will get a Spark Goodie.

You could also set it as a challenge for yourself on your spark points page under other goals.

Blessings, Michelle

The idea is to use the Spark nutrition tracker to log your food each day, then post here for accountability. As much as possible, we want to stay in our ranges to be sure we're getting a good balance of nutrients, and to lose those pounds!

Hope you'll join in if you're up for a challenge this month!

My post will look something like this (I also track fiber along with the four default ranges):

Calories (Range 1200-1550: XXXX
Carbs (163-236): XXX
Fat (32-56): XX
Protein (60-127): XX
Fiber (25-35):XX

The XX's represent the actual count for the day.
