I think I am going to alternate Combat days with either Body Beast, CE or LMP. I love Combat, but it is mainly cardio and I need my strength, so I will do both Cardio and Strength from now on. With Body Beast, I felt like I needed more cardio as there was just one cardio day.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm doing. I filled up a whole tracking sheet - my last line was used up last week. So, I decided to take a break and bring out something completely off my radar for the last 2 years - CE. I'm enjoying it, actually. But I'm REALLY paying attention to form because I know I have lower back issues with heavy weights.

I pulled out CE tonight just to shock the body (good to do sometimes). I did Push Circuit 1. Went relatively heavy for most, but honestly could have done more for most, too. I didn't fail at 6-8, so that's an indicator I need to up it next time. And, I jogged 3.5 miles on the tready right before going in to lift, so my body was sufficiently fatigued. emoticon

I really don't use heavy weights with Body Beast. I used heavier weights with ChaLEAN Extreme. BB does a lot more sets than CE does, so you can go lighter.

On the Bulk Arms day, on the hammer curls, I literally could not do one of the sets using 10lb weights. My arms were so tired by then. So, just start light, track your weights and add a few pounds the next time. Even with lighter weights, it will work you due to the way he does the sets.

I need to pull Body Beast out and try it. I'm not normally crazy about high weight / low reps just because my lower back takes too much of the strain. I like low weight / high reps better. But, I can't pass up a program Beachbody brings out, I had to buy it, so I should at least give it a shot.

Hi - I really like the Body Beast program - there is a lot of variety in each of the workouts and it's pretty straightforward and easy to follow. However, the program uses a lot of equipment, so there is a lot for me to get out and put away each day....It's totally different from LMP...I did enjoy LMP much more in terms of the variety in instructors and music.

Most of you probably already know how to use this thread, but for those who are new, just follow the instructions below. Have a GREAT month!

Pick an amount of fitness minutes that you would like to accomplish this month. These can be either cardio or strength minutes. Each day when you exercise, keep track of your minutes and do a count down on this thread. You can even mention in your post what workouts you did to accumulate those minutes (it might give others good ideas of new workouts to do to liven up their own workout routines).

Post your minutes like this:
minutes in workout / min. left for the month

OR

You can post it with 3 numbers:
minutes in workout / min. done already / min. left for the month

For an example, if my goal was 1000 minutes for the month, and I exercised 50 minutes, I'd post this: 50/950 (subtracted the 50 from the starting 1000). Then the next day, if I did 25 minutes, I'd post this: 25/925 (subtracted the 25 from the total for the day before). That would give me a running total so I know, at a glance, how much I have left to go for the month. Or, if you want all 3 numbers, the last entry would look like this: 25/75/925. That way you know how much you've done AND how much you have left to do.
