Goals for this quarter: long term goal is to faithfully exercise 3-4 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. Second long term goal is to keep my calories below 1,800 per day.

Wk 1 –01/05/13: 245.2 - loss of 6.8 this week....YAY!!! This weeks goal is to keep calories below 1,500
Results: Manged to keep calories below 1,500 5 of the 7 days & it showed!

Wk 2 -01/12/13: 243.2 - loss 2 lbs. this week - percentage -0.82%
Happy with the loss this week, but think it could have been better had I had a better weekend. I didn't overeat horribly....but I ate too much sodium....over on popcorn!
Wk 3 -01/19/13:245.2 - Gained what I lost last week.... NOT a good week.
Wk 4 -01/26/13: 248.8 - 0.16% - Only lost .4 this week, but still here & still trying!

Monthly Recap: I only lost 3.2 this month....NOT the 8 I had hoped for. Had a couple of good weeks on an a little bit of roll, but blew it toward the end of the month.


Wk 5 -02/02/13:245.4 - I gained this week.... :( I need to STOP letting the weekends ruin my roll...!!!

Goals for this quarter: long term goal is to faithfully exercise 5-6 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. Second long term goal is to keep my carbs below 70 per day.

Wk 1 –01/05/13: 260 (-2.8) This week's goal is 20 minutes exercise x5 days and reduce carb intake to 70 or less daily. Results: Loss -2.8

Wk 2 -01/12/13: 256.6 (-3.4) This week's goal is to focus in on exercise. Aim for 10-20 minutes in the morning on the ellliptical and 10-20 minutes after work as often as I can. Results: I did it! I faithfully did 20-30 minutes every morning! However, I have not added the afternoon component yet. Loss -3.4

Wk 3 -01/19/13: 254.6 (-2.0) This week's goal is to continue the morning exercise and exercise another 10-20 minutes on strength in the afternoon 3-4 times this week. Results: Did not get in the afternoon exercise so will try again next week. Loss -2.0

Wk 4 -01/26/13: 253 (-1.4) This week's goal is to try to incorporate strength training into my day for 10-20 minutes. Result - fail. I did not incorporate any strength training. I will make that a continuing goal for next week. Loss -1.4

JANUARY LOSS - 9.8

Wk 5 -02/02/13: 252 (-1) This week's goal is to work on getting strength training incorporated into my daily routine by using the Spark Videos for 10-20 minute workouts. Result: incorporated strength only once this week. Loss -1

Wk 6 -02/09/13: 251 (-1) This week I did not get as much exercise in as I should have. I will work on that next week! Result: Loss -1

Wk 7 -02/16/13: 249.4 (-1.6) This week I will get more exercise minutes in. Result: really behind on exercise - need to make it more of a priority. Loss -1.6

Wk 8 -02/23/13: 247.8 (-1.6) Last week of February - I really want to make it count! Result: Loss -1.6

FEBRUARY LOSS: 5.2

Wk 09 -03/02/13: 246.6 (-1.2) tried to get exercise in twice a day - elliptical in the morning and hand weights and abs on the ball in the afternoon. Successful about 3 times. Result: Loss - 1.2

Wk 10 -03/09/13: 246.6 Stayed the same. No surprise - too much medical stress! The goal this week was to get exercise in twice a day. Did not happen. Result: +/- 0

Wk 11 -03/16/12: 243.6 (-3.0) exercise is better, but not great. Started a cleanse. Result: -3.0

Wk 12 -03/23/12: 243.0 (-0.6) On vacation this week so my goal is to try to get as much walking in as possible and be really vigilant about watching my carbs/sugar/alcohol. Result: -0.6

Wk 13-03/30/12: 251 (+8.0) Too much vacation fun!

MARCH GAIN: +5

FIRST QUARTER TOTAL LOSS: Beginning Weight 262.8 Ending Weight 251 (-11.8)

I am staying focused and feeling good. I'm in this for the long run and will be successful.

Jan Total: -3.2
Dec + Jan total: -6.6

Wk 5 -02/02/13: 289 (-0.8) Feeling great! Clothes are feeling better.
I will stay focused and continue to track what I need to eat and what exercise I do.
I will eat 5 fruits and/or vegies per day.
I will keep my carbs under control.
I will keep working out with Zumba and Water Aerobics and try to add in a walking workout 2-3 x per week.
Wk 6 -02/09/13: 287 (-2) yeah baby!

Wk 7 -02/16/13: 285.6 (-1.4) yee haaa!!
Wk 8 -02/23/13: 287 (+1.4) maddening... but this week and last week = 0/ staying same. Over past 4 weeks I am still down 5lbs. I know this is a good weight loss, but I really HATE gaining, especially when I am trying so hard to lose it!

Although I am not really seeing a significant change on the scale or when I look at myself in the mirror, I am feeling much better. My head is in this game for the long run. I will be successful and will reach my goals. I am averaging 3.5 lbs per month, need to get this up to 5 lbs per month by cutting back on some carbs and upping the morning workouts. I will work on this for March.

Feb Total: -3.6
Dec- Feb Total: -10.2

Wk 09 -03/02/13: 286.2 (-0.8) Happy with this, but want more!!! Still Feeling great! Clothes continue to feel better. I will continue to stay focused and continue to track what I need to eat and what exercise I do. I am eating fruit before any fun foods like a WW bar or pretzels/ hummus. I am keeping my carb intake under control. I will keep working out with Zumba and Water Aerobics and have added in a walking workout 3-5 x per week.
Wk 10 -03/09/13: 284.2 (-2.0) Much better! Love it when the scale shows my effort even though I know this is only one measurement :)
Wk 11 -03/16/12: 283.4 (-0.8) been sick with sinus crud, not able to exercise as much as I want and half heartedly tracking. Munching a bit too much also.
Wk 12 -03/23/12: 288 (+ 4.6) ugh! being sick sucks! draining all energy just to move through the day; not making good food choices; so ready for this cold/ sinus crap to be gone!
Wk 13-03/30/12: 286.8 (-1.2) still struggling to get back to tracking foods and make the right choices on a daily basis. Family not motivated, eating too much junk.
Now that this challenge is over, how do you feel? What did you do well? What could you improve on?
Reality: This is not going to be easy and I see how my motivation is either up or down. I need to be more consistent and re-commit myself to this life long journey.

Mar Total: +0.6
Jan-Mar Total lbs lost: 6.2; 9.6 since Dec 8th.

I am struggling and not motivated at all. I'm using food when I feel lonely. Going to revise goals to include some group exercise classes for social interaction.

This week my daily goal is to keep to the plan I scheduled. This week I plan to do cardio for 20 min 2x a week (Wed) and strength 2x this week (Wed, Thur) (5 exercises, 2 reps of 10 each for a total of 100 reps each session). I also plan on journaling each day and keeping as close as possible to the set limits. (Wed, Thur)

Wk 2 -01/12/13:_250
This week my goal is to cut out desert and sweets during the week and focus on the weekend. I will allow myself 1 small sweet of mom's desert on Sunday only. Daily goals are to journal, exercise, post.

Wk 3 -01/19/13: 249 (-1)_ this week my goal is to decrease the sweets and extra snacking. Was not good last week at that.

Wk 4 -01/26/13:_249 (e) - sick most of the week_ this week my goal is to increase exercise of any type to 30 minutes a day. That includes stretching. So if I stretch before and after a 20 min strength or cardio work out, that will be 30 minutes. This is doable and I need this to increase my activity.
