1st one: to go with our big, traditional church wedding, we spent one night at a fancy 4-star hotel; then we went back to his parents' home, and prepped for our move to his first military assignment.
2nd one: married at the local courthouse with our combined four kids in tow, and then went home and put them down for a nap! That evening, we had dinner at a local Italian restaurant with a group of family and friends as our "reception." I.E. No honeymoon! It was a Thursday, I think - other than the day off, it was just life as usual...
3rd one: married at a Las Vegas Wedding Chapel while on our "usual" annual family vacation, a few days in the cheapest casino/hotel we could find on the Strip. Before the wedding, the "girls" were in one room, and the "boys" were in another; after the wedding, DH & I had a room to ourselves.
I guess our "honeymoon" was my son (age 20) & his girlfriend taking my daughter (age 15) out for the rest of that afternoon and most of the night to give us complete (NO KIDS!) privacy. It's one of Aub's most fun memories of spending time with her big bro' Scott...
