Max, thanks for posting this. I have to admit I forgot.

I'd love to come, but am leaving Saturday for Colorado Springs for the Zooma race that's on Sunday. Also I have to stay up to get my kid from work and lately it's been between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. before he gets off. Need to get some sleep.

Enjoy the walk.

Saturday, July 16 @ 8 a.m.

Platte River Trail

2 to 5 miles

Meet at the Platte River trail head located just south of 88th Ave. and Colorado Blvd.

On Saturday, July 16 we will explore the Platte River Trail and you can walk 2-5 miles, whatever distance feels good on that day. We will meet at the Platte River trail head located just south of 88th Avenue on Colorado Boulevard and we will leave promptly at 8 a.m. Come alone or bring your neighbors, spouse, children and/or your dog.

This walking program is geared to help you develop or maintain a consistent fitness program, while meeting new people and enjoying the outdoors. Each month a recreation staff member will lead a walk that will explore some of the many trails in the community; the distance will vary from month to month. The walks are free and open to anyone who can physically complete the distance. These will be ‘no frills’ events, so bring what you will need to complete each walk (water bottle, pet pick-up bags, etc.). Dress for the weather and wear some good walking shoes.
