I know this was posted forever ago, and I hope by now if you're able to change your goal for calories you've figured it out. However, one thing no on mentioned that I thought was worth saying is that 1200 is the minimum a woman should get in calories (normally) so that might be why you weren't able to lower it. For some people that number doesn't work in which case you would need to manually lower it after you figure out which numbers do work for you. But for health guidelines for most people within their BMI, women should not eat less than 1200 calories a day and men I believe it was 1500. So, just thought I'd explain why it didn't go down.
