I started takin what was left in my wallet at the end of the pay period and putting it into a coffee can. That started out as vacation savings but I soon realized that I could put that money towards a credit card bill.

i tried saving the change, but i did something else i get a monthly check of 250 a month from the government for having 3 kids since i'm out of a job and my hubby works 2 days and stays 5 days at home the money is hard so i told him we get only 150 a month the rest goes in a special account for emergencies emergencies are hospital and things like that i have about 1000 now waiting for monday to come will be getting my check again and i shop with the coins
I really need to start focusing on my money like how I do my weight. I am getting rediculous. I will try to do this too. My hubby is good at saving change and money, but then I'm a brat and he'll get me what I want. I told him to be strong and reject me, but I think my other personality comes out, takes over and cries like a baby until I can get what I want. Ha!
I am going to focus more. I am going to focus more. I will try my best to do the dollar bill thing. Thanks for sharing!
I've been saving change for many years. For the last two years I've been holding on to one dollar bills. When I go shopping I use all denominations except for ones unless I have to. At the end of the month when I balance my books I end up with 10 to 25 one dollar bills. As of January 1, I've managed to save $175.00 for a total of $675.00 for the three years. Nice little end of goal account.
