From my naturopathic doctor:

"All toxic substances from food, water, air and other environmental factors can harm the liver. It is generally felt that none of us has a healthy liver; however, it can still function when as many as 80% of its cells are damaged:

A well functioning liver produces antihistamines, neutralizes poisons, cleanses the blood, and discharges wastes into the bile, metabolizes and helps excrete fat and cholesterol, helps form and store red blood cells and iron, aids digestion, maintains hormone balance, and regenerates its own tissue."

A liver cleanse and detox twice a year, once in spring and once in the fall, is highly recommended.

On rising: Take a glass with 2T lemon juice or cider vinegar in water with 1tsp honey & 4 Chlorella tabs*.

Breakfast: Take a glass of carrot/beet/cucumber juice or Potassium Juice & 4 Pro-Bio Flora* capsules.

Mid-morning: Have an apple or cranberry (organic) juice, and 3 or 4 Chlorella tabs.

Lunch: Another apple (organic) juice or carrot juice, and 3 Pro-Bio Flora* capsules.

Mid-afternoon: Cup of peppermint tea and 3 Chlorella tabs*.

Dinner: Another glass of organic apple juice or a glass of Potassium Juice, if cleansing action is not too stressful, 4 Life to Life Digestive Enzymes*.

Before Bed: Take another glass of the lemon juice or cider vinegar in water. Add 15 drops of milk thistle seed extract.

Note: If you have hypoglycemia, diabetes I or II, or candidiasis, use the Potassium Juice, not the apple juice.

Drink plenty of water. Take your body weight and divide by 50. This will equal the number of quarts you need daily. Rest during this detox program.

*These are products/brand names I'm unfamiliar with, but are self explanatory.
