1 1/2 cups of GF French Bread Flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon shortening
3/4 cup milk*
sift dry ingredients together
cut pieces of butter and shortening to small size, then cut in with pastry cutter or knife.
Add milk and stir until moistened.
use large spoon to drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheet...or you can pat a small amount into a round shape.
bake 18 - 20 minutes.
* I used soy milk the first time, and then Lactaid Milk the 2nd time with good results both times.
Biscuits turn out crispy on the outside and soft texture on the inside...not too grainy like some flours make them.
Doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as we stay on the right path...we will get there. LIfe is in the journey, not the destination
