I buy my french bread mix by the case at Amazon.com. If you put an order in for over $25 shipping is free. They carry so many gluten free products, so I put in an order of my favorite things a few times a year.

Gluten-Free Pantry's Country French Bread Flour,
but there is also one made by Red Mill.

I know you can order it online, but I found it at the local health food grainery we have in town.

What's the brand of this "GF French Bread Flour" - I don't bake much, but I haven't seen it either. Help?

1 1/2 cups of GF French Bread Flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon shortening
3/4 cup milk*

over 450

sift dry ingredients together
cut pieces of butter and shortening to small size, then cut in with pastry cutter or knife.
Add milk and stir until moistened.

use large spoon to drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheet...or you can pat a small amount into a round shape.

bake 18 - 20 minutes.

* I used soy milk the first time, and then Lactaid Milk the 2nd time with good results both times.

Biscuits turn out crispy on the outside and soft texture on the inside...not too grainy like some flours make them.
