I don't suppose anyone has a good gf pie crust recipe? I have always been the holiday pie maker in the family and I need to figure out a good alternative now for crust.
I've just loaded a family favourite - Rice and Sausage Stuffing. Beware - you have to find a source for gluten-free sausage (I'm lucky - there are three where I live) and check your broth as well. Everyone in the family asks for this one. In fact, my niece wasn't even aware it was gluten free, and asked for it because she was tired of her mom's gluten-free food!
Simply being thankful makes life easier.

It's about taking my power back.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right.
Hey everyone! I saw a great peanut butter cookie recipe that we could all have (and no one else would know it's GF)!
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup crushed peanuts
Servings: Makes 24
Active Time: 15 min
Total Time: 25 min (plus cooling time)
1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla until well blended.
3. Form cookies using a small scoop; place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten each cookie and make a crisscross pattern with fork tines. Sprinkle with peanuts.
4. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Makes 24. Per Serving: 110 calories, 11g carbs, 4g protein, 7g fat, 10mg cholesterol, 50mg sodium, 1g fiber

that even goes for chicken because they put stuff in it so that is why you have to read all labels and don't rely on others to do that for you because I had to tell dietitians that some of the stuff had corn in them. Corn makes my tongue swell and I don't want to find out if it does more and I also know that it gives me a sore throat. Don't want the next thing and that maybe a swollen throat.
Yeah, I have learned to cautious about any kind of flavoring or seasoning or anything along those lines. I read everything still, even though I've been eating GF for almost two years now.
Turkey is not necessarily GF. Many companies use a basting solution during processing that may contain gluten in it....and it's often hard to tell. Best bet is to look for a turkey that specifically says it is GF.
Gluten free turkey? Isn't turkey already gluten free?

I am trying to compile recipes that you all use during Thanksgiving or other 'feasting' days so that I can help my family cook stuff I can eat that they will still enjoy. My turkey is GF but pretty much nothing else is. I was thinking of changing it up with my Shepherds Pie recipe since it is straight forward wholesomeness and GF. But I was wondering if anyone had a stuffing or a Funeral Potato (cheesy potatoes for those outside of Utah lol) recipe that they know those not GF would still love. Thanks for the help, and I will be posting my Shepherds Pie recipe soon for those who are interested.
