It is not a pizza crust in the traditional sense, but it is a great surface to place toppings of your choice! Very nutritious: protein, fiber, complex carbs and low glycemic index!!!!
1 cup of garbanzo flour
1 cup of water
1/2 tsp salt
pinch of pepper
Pinch of Italian seasoning (herbs only!!!)
Combine the garbanzo flour, water, salt and pepper.
Pre-heat over to 400 F for 10 minutes.
Grease an 9 x 5 baking dish (one with walls)
Place greased pan in the oven and heat for 5 minutes.
Add seasoning to the garbanzo flour batter.
Pour batter in the hot baking pan.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven. Now you can add toppings of your choice: tomato sauce, fresh tomato slices, cheese, feta cheese, mushrooms...Play with different toppings!
Return to oven to melt cheese.
You can also eat it as is, without any toppings. Delicious!!!
