I am sure that you can cut out some of the sugar and it still will come out fine. I know that I cut out sugar in the banana bread and it still tastes fine at least they have not said any different. I don't know since it is made with wheat flour. That way I don't eat it. LOL

Sounds delicious! I am going to make a pumpkin corn bread this weekend--I will post the recipe if it turns out well.

Thanks for posting this!

I am with you, I can't imagine adding extra sugar like that. I would just leave it out all together

It sounds wonderful esp. for the holidays.

The cake mix should have plenty of sugar w/o adding more. Perhaps some liquid stevia could be added to the mix to help add a little extra sweetness??

I printed it out and am going to try it. My MIL always makes and brings delicious breads/cakes when she comes during the holidays to stay with us. Now I too can have something to eat if I want.

Thank you for posting this!

Here is a link from Gluten Freeville - good GF recipes

glutenfreeville.com/recipes/desserts/pumpk
in-dump-cake?ref=nf

It uses Betty Crocker GF yellow cake mix - may not be so diet friendly but you could adjust some of the ingredients to make it more healthy.
