And.....................another new month is upon us! This year is flying by!

I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand daughter proud when she looks at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.

I woke up this morning and, quite frankly, didn't want to get on the elliptical first thing. I'll definitely take care of that after work this evening.

Still doing great with treacking my nuitrition/fitness and posting to the boards! Getting back to basics. Have a good one, Pat emoticon

After knee surgery in March, I didn't get much exercise (strength training, cardio) and then I started getting serious in our 45 x 65 foot garden with lots of digging, hoeing, pulling weeds, etc. The heavy work is mostly done now so not sweating so much these days. I decided to take my bands to the garden with me. I have a tree that I think might just work with my bands for some upper body exercises: triceps, biceps, shoulders. I might try some squats and some leg work with the bands too. I will report back on my success.

Best of luck to everyone!

Good luck Oakrose !
I have to institute some high intensity/interval training. I am still a slow and steady kind of exerciser. I do twice as much exercise now than I did when I started ....I just need to work on refining my process !

“Wellness isn’t about deprivation and it’s not about perfection. It is about pointing yourself in the direction of growth, training yourself to get comfortable with your highest potential, and then taking small steps to support that shift. It’s about showing up for yourself, day by day, and then one day finding that you’ve undergone a transformation.”

I just got a new personal trainer. It has taken me a while to get here, but I am ready for a new try at weight loss. I'm going back to work after six months of medical leave. It was nice to have time off, but it wasn't all fun and games, as I was healing. Now I am hoping I can stay focused in my working single mom life and get the weight off. Wish me luck?

Very timely topic for me too!
I have been traveling a lot this Spring/Summer, and have been very busy at work going through additional courses to upgrade myself. And tomorrow my vacation begins - we are going camping for 10 days, and I am hoping to do a lot of waterskiing.
When I return back from our camping, I need to get back into the swing of things. Every time I return back from a trip, I go into "post-vacation blues" and it takes me at least a week or two to get back to my routine. So this time around I need to work on myself to jump into my routine sooner.
Enjoy the last month of Summer!

Anna

Prepping to ride MS 150 bike first weekend in August. Haven't been tracking my food as well as the past. Will be a good time to start tracking again.

Great topic! I definitely have to get back into my routine. With my basement project done (for now) I have promised myself that starting tomorrow I'm getting back into my early morning workouts/elliptical routine. I haven't been tracking food/water, etc for close to 3 weeks now because I wanted to solely concentrate on the Pat Cave - which has been an upside down mess.

Anyway, beginning tomorrow I will be 1 - tracking food, water and exercise again on a daily basis 2 - weigh myself fearlessly 3 - set a goal of at least 2 lb weight loss for the month of August.

Indeed it is time. I have been absent for a while, but have recently gotten reconnected with one of my other Spark Teams, 50+ with 100+ to lose. What I am changing is, I am getting back on track. I'm drinking more water and hardly any soda. I'm tracking my food again. I'm back on the exercise train (or stationary bike, as it were), and am planning to be back up to 30 minutes a day of cardio by the end of August. I lost two pounds last week, so I'm back on track. Thanks for the encouragement, Rainbow!

good morning on the last day of July - which was certainly glorious, warm and dry - until today that is - thundering and rain - but we need it.
i do have to change a lot of things up - in the moving process i have not eaten as well as i should altho i did make an effort to be mindful. also - sore muscles made me take more meds to keep going - and my system is just all screwed around.
i also have to get back into my gym routine and walking - so there is a lot to do .
thanks for the reminders and all the support - it may look like i keep pushing my goal to the side, but it is always there - i really want to be down another 25 pounds before the holidays. have a wonderful day - and great august - BBemoticon
