thanks for the gardening tools - it is ironic to get that just after i have cruised the isles of home depot looking at the stuff i need - the little shed out back has my gas mower and a rake - right now that is about it. oh , i do have really old pruning shears that were my mom's - they are very old and heavy - but very sharp and useful still. they don't make em like that any more! Slowly making my way back to workouts and walks. Took a 35 minute walk before work today (Wednesday) in some lovely spring weather. Have a great day all, Pat

I'm so sorry I haven't been posting to this challenge :-( Life has been a bit hectic these days - but all in a good way. Oldest stepson getting married in June, I have minor surgery scheduled for May 18th (not necessarily good news but glad it's getting done), my youngest stepson is buying his own home and moving in the next few weeks, my oldest daughter is pregnant and due in December (I'M SOOOO HAPPY!!), my youngest daughter recently found a great job in a local law firm and is preparing to move out on her own and, last but not least, my son graduated on Saturday and I just made it through a hectic (celebrations/ entertaining) weekend. whew - I have been moving it though, just not posting about it.
I have stayed true to my strength training and elliptical - everyday or every-other-day. With the weather getting nicer and nicer, I'm taking more walks before work in the morning and parking further away from doors I need to enter
I hope we are ALL doing great!! Pat

May 2 - mowed yard and did Gardening. May 1 was family picnic day and so I did not get any "real" exercise in, but I won't let that stop me the rest of the month! I will move more!

Alright I am in. Yesterday, saturday, walked 5K in chicago at Millenium Park and Thursday walked about 5K in Chicago at the Navy Pier. Both took 2 hours. I am going to go to gym in morning for an hour and evening for hour to run/walk. As weather gets better I will walk more outdoors. The best life members went to the Oprah show Wednesday to see the show," 100 members lost 100 lbs." as guests of Bob Greene, we were in the audience too! The entire audience won a bike and helmet. Watch on May 10. It is a very dramatic, inspiring show!!

I would've loved to participate in the Challenge, but I will be on vacation for 2 weeks in Europe (leaving next weekend). I will move there as much as I can there and as much as our tour designed but I will have a guilt-free vacation without logging in my minutes/miles. Good luck on your May Move it Challenge!
