Anything with a dance beat especially European club music. Right now my work out music is Lady Gaga. Its also a bit of a guilty pleasure. Her music is almost satirical in a kind of way but, if you've seen footage of her play she's really playing that piano and singing.

Hi Everyone,

I am a new-bee, added a link to Gym Class Mix - made it for a teacher friend - it's what I have been listening to workout to since Feb 2009 - it will change in time - sometimes I listen to whatever is playing at the gym simply because I forgot to charge my iPod or forgot to throw it in my gym bag.

Some songs get annoying - when they do - I just by pass to the next song - some spin instructors have used some of my mixes in class and the class liked them. If there is anything I know is you can't please everyone - everyone has their own taste(s) in music. Me? I like rock, pop and alternative in general - as long as it is CLEAN. Trust me I listen to some other goodies too - like some rap, reggae (some Shaggy music in conjunction with other artists, not all) and a tiny bit of country.

Love these music Teams - great place to locate songs you forgot rock or never heard to check out!!!

Listen to whatever keeps you moving!!!!

it's a off day today, so i'm making playlists for when i'm back "on"
and it's probably going to kill me.
i made this in mind with biking and indoor exercising in mind, though i dont see why a runner wouldnt have it.

when i introduced myself, i said i was into just about anything electronic, so here we go:

electro/techno exhaustion workout:

you can find most of these on itunes, and even without those you cant find this is more than enough to run you ragged. i'm going to see how far i can push this one on monday.

simian mobile disco - sleep deprivation
underworld - beautful burnout (r59 live mix version)
boys noize - oh!
Chris Liebing and Speedy J - tunox
ascii disko - baphomet
dj mehdi - signatune (thomas bangalter mix)
the rapture - whoo! allright-yeah... uh-huh
!!! - must be the moon
mr flash - over the top
louis la roche - peach
vitalic - la rock
lcd soundsystem - yeah (crass version)
technasia - dominado
hostage - sick
kenny leaven - wasabi
misc. - take it personal
adam beyer - AWC part 1
digitalism - jupiter room
par grindvik - continue me
trentemoller - polar shift
superpitcher - tonite
gabriel ananda - trommelstrunde

-------------

this next one is shorter, a bit more relaxed (though not without unreasonable bursts), and more conducive to repetitive movements like running or pedaling. probably try it on sunday.

krautrock, indie, and japan at the end:

chemical brothers - sunshine underground
death in vegas - leather
death in vegas - girls
fujiya & miyagi - cassettesingle
air - dead bodies
working for a nuclear free city - forever
chemical brothers - the diamond sky
beck - profanity prayers
caribou - sundialing
neu - isi
battles - atlas
cornelius - new music machine
asobi seksu - mizu asobi

-YOU GUYS ARE DOING GREAT

-THANKS, MOON

I can waste it or I can use it for good.
What I do today is important because
I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever,
Leaving in its place something that I have traded for it.
I want it to be gain, not loss; good, not evil; success, not failure;
In order that I shall not regret the price that I paid for it."

Found out about this website from another team. Thought it was worth sharing & didn't know if everyone knew about it.
http://www.podfitness.com/

You can use your own playlist & this website will create a workout for you with your playlist. I tried the free trial last night and will download as many workouts & playlist as I can before it's over. lol... Some one said the actual cost per month is like $50. I didn't check the price out though. I thought it was worth mentioning.

Hope everyone is doing great!!!

I'm so glad someone else thinks the C25K music SUX!!! yuck. I couldn't stomach it and wished there was a way to 'music over' his music but keep his encouraging words and tips. This is exactly why I haven't done the stupid C25K.

In my new-found, unending quest to add new songs to my playlist, I discovered a band on Napster which I really like, pretty much because you could probably run to almost anything they've recorded. Check out "Uninvited". I was really impressed...I like them the way I like Squeeze and REM and Barenaked Ladies in that there's a consistency of quality throughout.

I lost 70+lbs...and now the hard part, maintaining!
