What a cool idea, although BeBop would be constantly using it. He's a treat freak!

Not all kitties will interest. Solomon and Shadow (who peacefully departed 7/26) both loved nosing it around and eating kibble that fell out. Sunny (Shadow's brother, who departed 4/26) never did get the concept.

Now Solomon is solo kitty, I'll find out if he is still interested or if it was mostly a competitive thing with Shadow.

Mine are stil ignoring it. I'll replace the kibble with some fresh pieces and maybe change the size of the holes.

I bought something like this from PetSmart. They like it, but it takes very little effort to release the kibble. Maybe I'm loading it with too much kibble.

They go crazy over caqt nap and kibble! Can't keep enough stored! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

It helps to set the holes wide at first so kibble easily falls out and then slowly close them as they get the idea. As a training aid, one can also pretend kibble fell out by closely following and dropping some kibbles as they nose it along.

My sister just gave me one that her now-departed kitty used. The two cats she has now don't seem to care for it. So far, my two nose it a little, but haven't gotten the idea of how to actually get the treats out. I'm hopeful.

Psalm22, my brother and sister-in-law have an orange cat that seems a little 'special' (LOL!). My brother says that the cat has to spend every waking moment concentrating on staying orange, so he doesn't have time to spend thinking of other more intelligent things.

My now decreased orange boy ignored it,but then he was not the brightest more the opposite, to tell the truth). His keenly intelligent sister. a gray tortie, and my B&W bicolor both like nosing one around. My feet, however, prefer it if kitties would promptly eat what they dispense!

One way to give cats some exercise while feeding is to use a kibble ball to dole out kibble. I have one kitty who really likes to push one around with her nose. Holes can be adjusted to match kibble size and degree of difficulty.

I bought mine from Petcom:

It also comes in pink.

I didn't find them on PetSmart.com

But I did at PetSafe's web site
