Like the past gatherings, I would LOVE to come, but my weekends are so darned busy! All of our Oct weekends are full already. Sometimes, I wish we could JUST STAY HOME!! LOL.

I can do it!!

Cool! Perhaps let's start honing in on possible weekends. Probably safe to assume Columbus Day weekend will be too busy to consider.

Could we pull something together by Oct. 5th or 6th?

If you can, encourage other local members to jump in and express their prefs!

I'd be interested, might help me get back on track. Biggest problem is being available. emoticon

We've had some very pleasant gatherings in the past, I'm hopeful that folks will consider joining together. It doesn't take long to break the ice and before you know it you've broken out of the mold of same-old, same-old and gotten to know someone new!

Pass the word among any fellow members of our local SparkTeam and let's see what we can do!

FEMALEWRITER99,
You should look at the Triple Cities Hiking Club (TCHC), Southern Tier Bicycle Club (STBC), and the Triple Cities Runner's Club (TCRC). They are all very inexpensive ($5 0r $10 a year or cheap life memberships). All activities are optional and participating will not be hard on your pocketbook or psyche. TCHC has a car pool program to get to and from outings. All three clubs have members of all ages and experience levels. People are friendly but not annoyingly so.

I don't think I'd be comfortable with a meet and greet so soon after joining, but definitely once I've been here a while and have gotten to know everyone better emoticon I can be a little shy...

I like Dorchester or Chenango Valley Parks, but I'll go with the consensus if it doesn't conflict with anything already scheduled. Whatever the decision, it should include a rain date.

How about an end-of-summer pot-luck meet 'n greet gatherings at one of our gorgeous local parks where we might go for walks, hikes, bike rides, perhaps even kayak (not sure if Dorchester has pulled their kayak rentals yet)...? My local favorite parks are Dorchester and Chenango Valley State Park, but I am WAY open to other suggestions.

I am WAY open to ideas...let's spin a few and see what we can come up with!

It has been too long since we've pulled together to share our SPARK with each other! :-)
