Snowzilla 5K Run Will Kick Off Holidays in Owego
Help Raise Funds to Bring Snowzilla to Owego's Lights on the River Festival
Saturday, November 10, 2012 - Run the Snowzilla 5K to kick off the Holiday Season! Help raise funds to bring the Snowzilla Toboggan Slide (a simulated snow covered hill, snow tube attraction) to Owego for the Lights on the River Festival on December 7. This inflatable toboggan slide is for adults and children and simulates a slide down a snow covered hill. It's a massive attraction and riders board a snow tube for the ride to the bottom of the slide. There is only one Snowzilla attraction in the United States and it's coming to Owego for the Lights on the River Festival, December 7. It will be located on Lake Street.
The Snowzilla 5K will begin on Saturday, November 10, at 9:00 am. There will also be a Kids' 1.6K Run at 11:00 am. Pre-registration is $15 and Kids' Run is $7. Both runs will be competitive and prizes will be awarded in age/gender categories.
All runners will received a free embroidered knit hat, bottles of water, a free ride coupon on the Snowzilla attraction, and a variety of refreshments after the race.
