I'd rather avoid weekday lunch-kind of thing as it would be too limiting for time.
Let's stop posting on this thread and I'll start up a new one: February SparkRally Plans.
I'm going to kick out a SparkMail to everyone with a link to this new thread. I'm willing to go for the weekend of the 19th-20th...with a smidgen of reluctance as it IS a holiday weekend and many may head out of town or be otherwise preoccupied. But HEY, after all there may be THAT much more time free for a RALLY!

Same here.. Feb is packed full of beginner tri stuff and swimming.. MAYBE a race...lol...March is looking better.. Unless we pulled this off during a weekday which would be better at thispoint...lol...

Ugh! My weekends have filled up so quick. Next weekend is my last free weekend for a couple months. But, it's also Al's last free weekend for a couple months, so I'm not willing to open our house and impose on him.
I'd love to get out and try CC skiing or snow shoeing before the snow melts though!

I'm pretty much a single mom every weekend from now through May. I do have a few weekends with Al home to watch Alexis, but I know on the 22nd I have an evening commitment and won't want to be too tired.
I don't have a problem hosting a potluck, but we'd need to keep it fairly small, like under 10 people.

As most of you may know via WILLOW49's recent blog we have quite the challenge ahead...! So the likelihood of being able to be a part of a rally this weekend is slim...but I will be keeping an eye on things and see what happens and attempt to be a part if it's possible.
Couple of healthier restaurants to possibly consider:
Whole In the Wall, S. Washington Ave. Binghamton?
CyberCafe, Main St. Binghamton?
Don't know if anyone is willing to host a potluck either at their home or some churches might be willing to let us use their place if one of you are connected...?

OK i'm bumping this because i don't want this to get lost in anyone's minds!!! What is everyone's saturday's/Sunday's looking like? I know i have races until noon for the next few saturdays and swimming until 4pm on those days.. Swimming 1-4 on Sunday's....
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm gonna need to eat, Um heavily on saturday's to balance out the calorie burning.. So i'm game for food if anyone know's of a healthier food option in the area. Heck I'm willing to do a breakfast/brunch meetup on a Sunday.. What do you all think??? Come on my fellow sparkers!!! i need to see and meet more of YOU!!! :)

I don't know if Greek Peak has CC skiing or not. That Highland Forest looks awesome, but it looks like it's over an hour away-might be a bit far for a day trip.

~Sledding or snow shoeing would be a blast-but we need snow! ~I think skating would be fun, though I haven't done it since I was a kid. ~A meal is good if we wanted to talk-we could always follow it up or start it with an activity. ~How about tubing or skiing at Greek Peak?

Love all those ideas...picking one has always been a challenge for me...lol! Except to say: don't own ice skates or know the first thing about skating. But I'm open to whatever the consensus turns out to be!

Ok after reading Julie's blog last night about the winter blah's... i went through..read more BAL blogs... realized alot more of us are in the same boat... One of the questions in Julie's blog was what do we do to beat the blah's.... Me i crank the music and sing.. dance around..... But then i realized WE NEED A SPARK RALLY!! we haven't had one in awhile.. Why not get together where we can all talk about upcoming plans for the year..workouts..race schedules... Hype OURSELVES up! What do youall think????
