I need to get back to losing weight. I've had a lot of stress and health issues this year creep up on me and gained some weight back. Not sure I will get rid of the stress since I am going to school, but the weight needs to go since part of it has to do with health or should I say it has a lot to do with some of the health issues, cholesterol and now blood pressure!!
I didn't get my bike out this year. Need to do that next Spring and start riding again!!

Looking at back at my goals I posted, I started back at the parks doing the raptor and butterfly monitoring. Cheap? Yes, but it still costs me in gas, especially with the costs going up! Geez, can't win.

As of Jan 1, I have paid off 3 small medical bills and a store credit card, caught up on my utility bills, caught up a little on my mortgage. I still have a long way to go, but I will be really happy to see a few more gone in the next 3-6 months if all works out according to my plan! Of course, I did this by taking out against an IRA. Probably not the smartest thing to do since I will owe taxes and penalties, but I felt I had no choice but to do it to get caught up!!
Now I need to work on the "diet". I feel I am still in holiday mode and still eating. Need to get to the grocery store to buy some decent food!!
Get to goal weight for sure! Only about 20 pounds to go!
I plan to: -Log my food daily -Drink more water -Exercise 4 to 5 times a week -Get more sleep

My New Year Resolutions are: To get the garden up to scratch, plant vegetables and flowers and get it under control. To walk every day. Do a long walk or hike once a week. Keep exercising every day & Continue strength training 3 times a week. Start swimming again.

Out for a vigorous 1 hour walk yesterday and stopped for a few seconds to observe a spritely golden crowned kinglet. They are a nice bird to spot in the dead of winter.

The New Year is almost here and I thought I would post some new thread and revive some old one that we have in this forum.
We have the "Minutes, Miles, and Step Challenge" thread that no one has posted on in a while. Let's get back at it! Move it, Move it, Move it!! We also have the "How Do You "Measure Up" thread. This was posted so that you could take measurements of your body to see what you have lost. Remember you may not have lost in weight, but you may have lost in inches!! If you want to post you loss there, great!!
I think I will post a new thread for losing 10 lbs in 10 weeks. That would take us to the week ending March 12th. 1 lbs a week is a reasonable weight loss goal.
What are your goals for 2011? Start out with small ones to meet your annual goal. It doesn't even have to be health/weight related.
