This is a topic to which I have given many hours of thought over the past few years. My greatest fear in the world is to be incapacitated and at the mercy of strangers. I have no close family left and, yes, I have an exit strategy. Can I carry it out? I'll know when the time comes........
"Finish each day, and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."
Happy is the day I'm pain-free
Jules, I have also wondered if "I could do it". When I see the condition mom is in and have faced the reality that I could follow in her shoes, I've often wondered "if". I still don't have an answer.

"Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal, their world is changed forever".
I found this blog in my web travels and after reading it I was so in agreement with the writer and had to stop to think if "I could do it" The meaning of this you will understand after reading this. A very thought provoking article.
