I am very lucky that I have time to spend several hours on SP everyday. I track everything I eat and my fitness. If I don't track my food, I will just eat and eat and never lose weight. I have to keep myself accountable and know what is left at the end of the day for a snack.
I also track my weight daily to make sure I don't gain too much with fluctuations. It is a challenge to stay positive when weighing every day but, I manage to keep the number on the scale in perspective. I chart my daily weight in a spiral notebook to compare monthly totals and patterns in weight loss.
I also track measurements monthly and log them into my notebook as well as on SP.
I am very visual and like to see everything written out and charted for comparison.
