There is a guide it's small but it's there. It's actually posted today on the sparkpeople insider.
I also use calorie king or plan ahead and see online if the restaurant has a menu and it's info and add it prior to going. I stick to my plan,
www.dietfacts.com has restaurant calories, fat, carbs, protein, etc info...awesome website...

thanks so much for posting the url of calorieking :)
www.calorieking.com is a great resource. This was new to me, so thank you for sharing your information.
You can also check at calorieking.com
They have a lot of restaurant's foods in their database.
Current long range goal is to get down to 150 pounds and get really strong so I can hike again. I have a plan to buy the many things I will need for my dream flyfishing trip and have laid out which ones I can buy at each 10 pound loss.
Great ideas!!! Be in control of your foods and how they are cooked! :-)

JUST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE CONTROL OF HOW YOUR FOOD IS COOKED... JUST BECAUSE IT SAYST THAT THE FISH IS GRILLED, IT ISN'T ALWAYS THE CASE... TRUST ME IM A COOK...
MAKE SURE U SAY THAT YOU DO NOT WANT ANY OILS ADDED TO MEAT WHILE THEY ARE COOKING IT, NO EXTRA SALTS, ETC... CUSTOMIZE THE MENU TO SUIT YOUR NEEDS. IF YOUR FOOD COMES OUT AND IT IS NOT TO YOUR LIKING, TELL THEM YOU DO NOT WANT IT. YOUR THE PAYING CUSTOMER, TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR.
DON'T BE AFRAID THAT THE COOK IS GOING TO SPIT IN YOUR FOOD... IF YOU FEEL THAT THE RESTRAUNT IS GOING TO GIVE YOU TROUBLE THAN DON'T EAT THERE... ANOTHER TIP IS YOU COULD ALWAYS DROP THE HINT THAT YOUR A FOOD CRITIC FOR A HEALTH FOOD WEB SITE... AS LONG AS YOU BLOG ABOUT IT LATER, YOUR NOT REALLY LIEING. LOL...
Right...good idea to check the online menu. Thanks!
Also MOST restaurants have menus online which definitely can help if you are planning on going out to eat or traveling and need an idea.

Just wondering, and feel like I've looked around the Spark site enough to now need a little direction.
Is there an "eating out" guide on the site somewhere? What I'm looking for is a list of popular dinning establishment, either fast food or dine in? Also then, a list of popular items for that restaurant.
Any help is appreciated...
