Final Week of Jan 2011-already?

How did you rock it out last week?
While I took a break from running because I have a sore hip I still kicked the weeks ass. I did abs every 2nd day for 15-20 mins, some pilates, a lot of yoga and my p90x vids except for plyo. I ran 8.5k on sat and while my hip still hurts its not any more or less after that.

Do you think you are on track to reach your goals from the begining of the month?
I f*ckin hope so lol! Ive wanted to measure myself but I won't until the end of the week. The end of this week also marks month 2 of p90x DONE. Good, Im getting bored of it.....

Pick a goal for yourself for just this week:
Last week I made 3 new things for dinner I have never had before. (chef meg's beet salad, AMAZING!) This week I want to make that 4. As I type this there are apples, onions and pork sirloin in the slow cooker at home. Im excited to try it! I found a fabulous website with some really good looking recipes on it, even though I hate that S word lol!

Have a great week everyone!!!

Oh jeez. I'm already a week behind! I meant to post this the other day but I never got around to it.

Week 1
Housekeeping:
BMI: 50.2 (yikes)!!!
Neck: 17
Thigh: 36

Part 2 - Reaching those goals
1. Exercising at least 5 times a week
2. Incorporating more whole foods in my diet
3. Avoid eating after 7:30 pm
4. Enjoy my food instead of "eating on the run"

Part 3 - Self reflection
Dear Diary,
Look how far I've come! In the past 12 months I have done some amazing things. I gave birth to the most beautiful boy I could have asked for, stated college again, and overcome many obstacles. Way to go me! ASs I write this out, I can't help but to feel as though I've made so many sacrifices that I've neglected myself. My life has revolved around everyone else and I realize now that 2011 is my time! I'm going to take some time for me, take care of myself, and achieve my goals in 2011.

Week 2
Exercise:
It was a slow week as I spent two days moving..by myself down three flights of stairs. I wouldn't even begin to know how to track that :p
Actual planned exercise: only 120 min

How much time will you devote to exercise between now and Sunday?
250 (I'm just now starting to get active.)

Choose a power food for the week. Something you can use as a go-to healthy snack, or a meal that gives you lots of fuel.
Apple, cheese, and nuts :)
These are the 3 excuses I cannot use this week!
1. Too tired
2. Too busy
3. I slept in

Motivate me this week by remind me that:
This is something I want for so many reasons and nothing can hold me back

OMG...LOL so gotta be part of this weekly eh? dang! ;)

Week 2

List everything you did for exercise last week. You can list this as minutes, exercises, miles, DVDs- or everything, but list it all out right here:
112 minutes...which is NADA! I did 3 of the 10min bootcamp videos, took one jog/walk, and one day of arm ST, and deep house cleaning.

How much time will you devote to exercise between now and Sunday? 300minutes (slowly doubling the previous week...let's keep working it up!)
starting with TRX/Circuit Training class tonight!

Choose a power food for the week. Something you can use as a go-to healthy snack, or a meal that gives you lots of fuel.
Raw Shakes...so nuts, fruit, water, maca powder, and then raw protein and/or cacao nibs/powder.

These are the 3 excuses I cannot use this week!
1)I'm tired!!!!!!
2)I miss class so I'm not going to workout today
3)It's cold

Motivate me this week by reminding me that:
Even when I don't feel like doing a major workout, I can spend 10min doing some weights or balance exercises to keep up my strength!

Waist: 36 inches
Hips: 48 inches
Right Thigh: 29 inches (?!?!?!?!?!!!)

BMI: 34.3
Weight: 213.6

PART TWO: Reaching goals

#1 Exercise at least 20 minutes daily.
#3 Get back into the healthy BMI range!
#4 Regain self confidence

PART THREE: Self reflection.

Dear Diary,

I finally got my act back together and this will be the last time that I "start over" with this weight loss journey. I'm finally in the right frame of mind and I realize that I must change my lifestyle to become a healthier, happier person.

This year I will work my hardest to return to the person I used to be. I will regain my energy and my health!

I'm looking forward to all of the hard work that is to come in 2011.

PART ONE: Housekeeping!

I don't care what you track, but TRACK IT! Hips, thighs, tummy, boobs, neck, arms, wrists, whatev. Find 3 measurements you want to track throughout 2011 and list it here.
All of these need to shrink!
1. waist - 51
2. Hips at the widest part with tummy flop - 59
3. neck 17
(OMG - I am nearly as wide as I am tall) - deep breath Crissy...
PART TWO: Reaching goals

1. Do my Wii Walk It Out EVERY day for at least 1 hour.
2. Actually stop and taste what I am eating instead of shoveling it so I can get back to work/deal wtih the kids/run to the next project. One piece of food in at a time. Chew. Taste. Chew some more. Swallow. Pick up next bite of food.
3. I will not eat my emotions away - it does not work. If I am hurt I will say so. If I have nervous energy I will not shovel food to my mouth I will start walking. If I am stressed I will not feed it with anything in front of me - I will walk to the point of releasing endorphines.

PART THREE: Self reflection.

Dear Diary,
Look how far I've come! In the past 12 months, I have done some amazing things. I started walking and even started running! I found not that I am capable of doing it - but that I actually enjoy exercising.
Way to go, me!

As I write this out, I can't help but feel proud!

My life has changed completely and I realize now that 2011 is my year to do everything I have ever wanted to do!!!!

I am a MILF! I wear hot bikinis. My husband's co-workers tease him about the hot wife. My husband and I can find sexy clothing that I like and acutally fits and not the fat version.

YOU DID IT CRISSY!!! You are now taller than you are wide!

PART ONE: Housekeeping!

Ok accountability here we come....
1. muffin top: 39.5
2. arms: 12.5
3. chest: 42

PART TWO: Reaching goals

1. Strength/Tone: Circuit Training TRX/Kettlebell workout 2x/wk; 1x/wk yoga or pilates; 2x/wk do at home series of arm weight exercises etc.
2. 45-60min of cardio 4x/wk: shoot for 2spin classes a week; one cardio machine day; one outdoor walk/hike day
3. I'm going to repeat from December on the at least 4 servings of fruits and veggies thing, I found an awareness that I seriously lack in this department (which is still shocking, what the heck am I eating!? I don't eat rice, corn, potatoes, gluten, what the heck is goin' on?)

PART THREE: Self reflection.

Dear Diary,
I have stopped trying to fool myself this year. No longer have I said to people "I don't know why I'm not losing weight, I exercise regularly, I eat healthy, it's just not fair!" Well...those portion sizes and the lack of balance in my diet ruled my life. Yes, the medical issues were a roadblock at the time, but now I recognize them as speed bumps! It may slow me down, but they are easy to get over if I push a little harder...and if I floor it, I will only be crashing into the next speed bump. So Diary, I have learned that I need to be consistent...and not just talk the talk. It is going to take STRONG and steady for me to win my race.
I have put myself out there, I have posted measurements, how much I actually weigh, and even have 'before' pics hidden on my computer. I know I am going to LOVE seeing the comparison with the 'after'!

I have learned to listen to my own body, I have learned that every day I can do some strength training, I have learned to tame that binge-monster and DANG that feels goooooooooood! (I can't recall when the last serious feeling-out-of-control binge happened!)
Life does not hang in the balance based on how much weight I lose, but I do know how I want my body to feel and function...TAKE NO PRISONERS!

Im hoping for some consistent participation here people!!!! I know Im late but I have been busy!

New Year New Challenge Week 1

PART ONE: Housekeeping!

I don't care what you track, but TRACK IT! Hips, thighs, tummy, boobs, neck, arms, wrists, whatev. Find 3 measurements you want to track throughout 2011 and list it here.

1. I will shrink my waist by 7 inches.
2. I will shrink the fat on my thighs, and develop more lean muscle there to get rid of some of the serious cellulite I've got going on. (sexy, I know!)
3. I will reduce my overall BMI to a healthy percentage in a sustainable way to keep it there.

PART TWO: Reaching goals

To reach these goals- I will adopt a (mostly) vegan diet, and make sure to perform regular cardio exercises to burn 300 calories a day, 5 days a week. I will also slowly introduce strength training, being careful not to anger the fibromyalgia or lupus beasts in the process.

PART THREE: Self reflection.

Dear Diary,
Look how far I've come! In the past 12 months, I have done some amazing things. I have realized the reasons why I did not reach my previous goals, and have ome up with a new plan. Way to go, me!

As I write this out, I can't help but feel disappointed in my past failures, but also optimistic that I can do it this year!

My life has been very complicated and I realize now that 2011 doesn't have to be.
I am going to kick some serious weight loss ass in 2011!

Week 2
Exercise:
I have been kicking serious weight loss ass on the exercise bike! I have not done under 45 consecutive minutes, or less than 21.8 mph in more than a week. I am hoping I see a result on the scale, but if not... that is no reason to quit!

How much time will you devote to exercise between now and Sunday?
Keeping with the exercise bike trend- minimum of 40 minutes a day- 6 days this week.

My eating was not too shabby! Yes, I could make it better by actually logging my meals for the week on Sunday.

Choose a power food for the week. Sticking to my plans on going vegan. I will eat no meat & only allow dairy 1 day this week.

These are the 3 excuses I cannot use this week!
1. Too tired
2. don't want to
3. I can do it tomorrow

Motivate me this week by remind me that:
I am the only one who can do this... no one else can do it for me, and the time to do it is NOW!
