RECAP!

1. Pick any 5 things to measure that you will measure again on New Year's Day. Post those current measurements here. it can be everything from how many modified pushups you can currently do, to a 5K time, to a bra size, I don't give a crap. Personalize it.

1. Waist 31 inches, I want to see 30!
I got to 30.5 no complaints there!!!!

2. 5k time 33:45, Id like to see 30 but lets say 32
Rocked it, I believe it was 31:15

3. Weight 167.6, want to hit at least 162
I hit 160.8 and then ended the year at 167.8 (f*cking liquor and chocolate hahaha)

4. 500 fitness minutes a week
first two weeks yes, last but oops no

5. Pilates or Yoga 2x a week, and ALL my p90x videos
that weekend of christmas killed me.

All in all how do I feel......Fine, I f*cked up at the very end and I do not really care. Just because I gained back a few lbs and did not work out for a few days does not change anything. My goal was to change my life and start living a healthier lifesytle, which I did. I reached then surpassed that goal with flying colors. Bring on the new year!

I posted a blog "December in Review" to recap how this month's challenge went.
I don't feel disappointed that I didn't accomplish all that I set out for in this challenge, I do feel proud of what I DID accomplish this month!
Right now I feel so empowered, it's awesome!

Ok, so I am joining the party late because that's how I roll...

1. Pick any 5 things to measure that you will measure again on New Year's Day. Post those current measurements here. it can be everything from how many modified pushups you can currently do, to a 5K time, to a bra size, I don't give a crap. Personalize it.

1. increase my run distance. even just a bit. right now I am doing a 5k 3x weekly.
2. get back into any body toning work. I have been doing ZERO. so doing more shouldn't be a struggle.
3. I would like to see a measurable difference in my backside (lift! tighten!)I doubt this will happen by new years but the measurable bit will be the increase in workouts (presently doing NONE!)
4. post pics weekly of my progress in blog, as r_m photo challenge dictates. One down. :)
5. get huge boobs. Oh wait, I can't pull that one off and not what you meant right, Offdrea? ;)

2. Declare yourself. I am going to forgive myself it I miss a workout and not use it as an excuse to continue to avoid working out. Fall down, get up.

3. one victory? I ate to discomfort at lunch (work lunch at a Chinese buffet...) but my dinner was stellar and my lunch and breakfast tomorrow are set up and right on target.

4.absolutely going to do right today? I am going to do start by doing a modified version of the bootcamp www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/challeng
e_
detail.asp?challenge=6
I can commit to the teensy amount of time it requires and I know I can stick with it to get back in the habit of taking care of myself.

What are you most proud of doing since your last check-in?
Eating decently at work!

How are you working towards reaching your goals?
I started using the "notes" feature of my Nutrition, it helps me to write down what I'm feeling and I hope it will help me recognize what I'm feeling when I want to overeat and hopefully prevent it. emoticon

What will be your biggest hurdle for the week?
Getting my exercise and eating down. I have 3 more finals this week and am STRESSED OUT. (Just got done with one, so I'm taking a break to get on SP!) emoticon

Got a workout planned that you want to state publicly?
emoticon Wednesday, I will be doing a killer leg workout where I will not skip out on lunges even though I HATE them. emoticon

What's motivating you right now? Is there something you are dreading or looking forward to coming up?
I stepped on the scale today and it made me very sad...I want to have a great week to build momentum for a great xmas break, so I can come back in the new year closer to my goals.

Oh, and I need to do well this week so I can get a little bit closer to catching up to my room mate in "weight lost" :D Shh, don't tell her it's a competition. emoticon

What are you most proud of doing since your last checkin?
My 5k time! I did it in 31:18!!!

How are you working towards reaching your goals?
By getting all my workouts in. Ive already lost .5 off my waist!

What will be your biggest hurdle for the week?
I have a very very sore calf. I think I might have pulled the muscle.....

Got a workout planned that you want to state publicly?
I will be running 8.8k outside on Saturday IF it isn't raining. If it is I will do it on the treadmill.

What's motivating you right now? Is there something you are dreading or looking forward to coming up?
My biggest motivation is what I see in the mirror. This weekend I was standing in my bathroom with a friend who has a pretty rockin body. We were standing side by side and I realized something, IM F*CKING HOT, my body has changed completely. I have a perfect hourglass figure. Standing next to her I didn't feel insecure or fat, and its because Im not anymore! Im so happy with myself. I can't wait to see how this round of p90x pans out for me. Im so near done, I just need to tone up that flabby tummy and I am good to go. It is such an amazing feeling. I never thought I could do this.

Almost halfway through December, don't lose your momentum! WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!

List your weekend victories: I started a new job!

What could you have done better? I should have stayed within my calories, although I didn't get too crazy.

List your plans for the week: Well, I've already done great this week by completing c25k week 2 finally, and I would like to start on c25k week 3!

Ho Ho Holy F*ck Its the Holidays Week 2

List your weekend victories: This weekend, I got some exercising in, which was totally needed. It had been a WHILE.

What could you have done better? Definitely tried to make my calories "good" ones.

List your plans for the week: Cardio every other day, at least. Strength train 3 times and really work at it. Stay within calories during the week.
DO NOT OVER EAT AT WORK.

List your weekend victories:

My weekend victories: I put up my holiday decorations! I also didn't get *any* junk food when I did my weekly grocery shopping. Nothing in my cabinets and fridge except healthy foods! I was pretty proud of myself for planning that out. I had four days off this week and I knew if there was a bunch of crap food sitting around I'd probably eat it.

What could you have done better?

I really could have gotten more exercise, even if it was just going outside and walking around more.

List your plans for the week:

I plan on getting back to the gym... today is Monday, so I'm going to try and hit the gym at least 4 nights this week. Also I'm going to try to walk around outside on days when I am not going. I have been a little off my game lately with my cardio.

Ho Ho Holy F*ck Its the Holidays Week 2

List your weekend victories: This weekend I ran 6.6k in 41 minutes! I stayed within my cals except for Friday but still had a defecit.

What could you have done better? Even though I stayedw within my cals I didn't eat the best. I need to eat healthier foods on the weekends. I also need to stick with my low cal beer. The Sam Adam's was delicious but right now Im working hard to lose so I need to make that sacrifice!

List your plans for the week: This week I start p90x! I did chest and back this morning. Pushups and pull ups. The only pushups I did on my knees were the diamond ones. They are freakin HARD! I want to make sure I do every workout, I may not do the yoga x because I truly don't like the video but I have other yoga videos I can do. I also want to run at least 3 morning this week. Too bad I slept in today! Have a great week everyone!!!

Ho Ho Holy F*ck its the Holidays!
ENTRY CARD AND DAY ONE CHALLENGE

1. Pick any 5 things to measure that you will measure again on New Year's Day. Post those current measurements here. it can be everything from how many modified pushups you can currently do, to a 5K time, to a bra size, I don't give a crap. Personalize it.

1. Waist: 31 inches.
2. Belly pouch: 38 inches (AHHHHHHH).
3. Weight: 156.8 lbs. NOT AMUSED.
4. Time spent running on the treadmill before I want to kill myself: 10 minutes.
5. Typical starting AMT level: 8 (Let's see 10).

2. Declare yourself. Do so by choosing one or more of the following.

Make your declaration of independence from imminent failure, guilt and pressure. Write a paragraph, a statement or a blog about how you will do your best, and not hate yourself if you fail.

I will eat food to fuel my body and make me feel good. Cookies and pie do not make glutes of steel or give me bigger biceps, neither do ice cream and bread rolls. I know slip ups are inevitable, but I won't let it ruin my day. I will be strong and suck it up and do something about it right away.

3. Make the decision that no matter how many times you fall in December, you wont wait 24-48 hours to make up for it. Make sure your next act, after falling, is standing up straight. Immediately. State one victory you have already had today.

Planned out my food for the day :)

4. Tell me what you are absolutely going to do right today.

Stay in my calories and kick my butt working out.

Ok, this is the first challenge on Spark I am adhering to... only b/c I luv ya Miss DreaSparkBuddy!
(I can't belive I'm putting this on here, and yes I will put it on my blog too!)

emoticon emoticon ~!~Ho Ho Holy F*ck its the Holidays! ENTRY CARD AND DAY ONE CHALLENGE~!~ emoticon emoticon

5Things:
1. I will eat 4 servings of fruits/veggies a day (I'm not too hot on this, I get two daily, so let's double that!)
2. I will go to the gym 3x a week (new gym that I'm a little nervous about, I get really self conscious and my old gym was not so busy so it wasn't an issue, but the new one is always busy)
3. Weight ....le sigh. Ok, I am admitting my weight to the world here... this morning I was 168, want to hit 163 by the end of the month (my lowest weight to date!)
4. Go to PRF Sat morning boot camp weekly
5. Attend 4 classes of pilates at the new place that I have a 10 class card to

Self Declaration:

I will take advantage of having this month off of work to nurture my whole self. This means putting good food in my body which makes me feel good. I will stand up for myself and not eat food just because family put it in my face, I will say no politely and live the kind of lifestyle I want to!
I will work on the journaling to be aware of my feelings during this month. Reading will start back up, and not just work or fitness/nurtition reading, but really enjoyable reading....instead of sitting in front of the TV and zoning out. I will integrate music more into my life again, and enjoy it...put that iPod on shuffle and be active around the house instead of sitting around. To calm and center myself I will bust out that knitting/crochet and have something to show how I spent my time...not just TV water cooler talk! This is my time to rejuvinate, refresh, and reintake what life is to me and what I want out of my life! I'm not waiting for New Years Resolutions!

Today's victory:
I did not eat the potatoes in the chicken soup my dad made, and was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't guilted into eating them! Plus I brought super healthy lunch to work, sat down with no distractions and mindfully ate my lunch :)

What I'm going to do right today:
I am full after family dinner, I am not going to eat anymore tonight. Tonight I will unwind and start that reading!
