I know baked goods are my weakness, I am going to a whole food vegetarian diet after reading The China Study. I was vegetarian for many many years before bowing to pressure from my DH. No more processed for me, baking on my own now with whole foods.

We are all bad, I think. How can you resist some of this stuff? My church is having their picnic tomorrow and we have some fabulous dessert bakers!
I was pretty good these last 4 days that I have been out of town. No sweets and I did not eat a lot, plus I did a lot of running around!
My ankle is somewhat better but not enough to get back on the treadmill.

Ah Patti,
You do not know me well at all, I can be bad, in fact yesterday was a good example!! But today is another day and so far not so bad. I think I am going to have to take a serious look at my game plan though and get back on track. I have been as my good buddy Pixie says phoning it in. Back to measuring timing and moving.

Sheryl, from what I've been reading about you, you are always good. :-)
Linda, my husband has been doing better with the sweet tooth (sugar free candy is one of his weaknesses). When I told him those little candies were not meant to be eaten every night before he goes to bed and that they should be an occasional night time treat, he looked at me like I was punishing him. :-0
Now, instead of eating 4-5 candies, he has finally limited it to 2/night. :-)

Good Morning, I am sorry to say this weekend has been a bust for me, I have gone over on my food and under on exercise both Sat. and Sun. sigh! Today however, is a new day and a new start. I am attending a press conference at one of our endangered state parks, afterwards I am hiking the trail.

Thank you! I am struggling to get my exercise in due to ankle is still healing. It IS healing though. I am maintaining my weight and eating my high fiber vegetarian diet.

Walked along the river during my lunch hour yesterday, the white blossoms of the 7 Bradford pear trees were beautiful against the blue sky here in northern Indiana. The magnolia trees are dropping their pink blossoms and I counted 3 baby sandpipers, tiny little birds, being "herded" by their parents. They were all legs...

I taught my yoga class last evening, requests for sore neck and tight hamstrings and gastric discomfort from those who were there. Taught yoga at a retreat day for intensive care neonatil nurses Monday morning in an historical building, brick walls, wooden floors, used yoga for team building and crossing the generation gap between the younger and older nurses.

With gratitude for this May challenge, I want to "let go" of the extra pounds I have regained!

I need to focus in May so I am in. That toning thing is what I need, and since I am having autumn in my part f the world, I get extra time to de jiggle before summer.

RACEWELLRUN congratulations on your husband receiving a new heart. My husband has one obstacle left before he can get onto the transplant list. He needs to lose 40 more lbs. We have both been trying hard. Did real well at first and have been slacking off and gaining lately. He seems to do whatever I do which places a real burdon on me to get with the program.

Suze...so glad to hear you found a trainer that actually listened to you regarding your needs and limitations. I've never had a professional trainer before. The thought has crossed my mind a few times but then I remind myself that I have free access to the Base gym and there are trainers there to help me. Now, if I would just make it a priority to go the the gym..... :-/

It's 9pm and I've only had 2 glasses of water ( this is good for me though ). Lol
My leafy greens today was Spinach Stuffed Portabella Mushroom and a small bowl of Creamed Spinach. Did a lot of walking at work (forgot to put my pedometer on again).

Good morning and Happy May , yeah
1) I am apologizing to my Team Member's as I have been on Private and Neglectful as my DH had a Heart Transplant all is well and I am grateful - for my goal is to be a more active team member . I am back in action off private
2) water , tea , no coffee for me anymore
3) I have an obligation to care for parents' and DH right - so I need to take care of myself FIRST to care for others
4) swim . cycle and speed walk to the best of ability
5) Through healthy food I am in the process of re- balancing my metabolic metabolism , and its working !!

We can do this!

1. Continue to drink your water.
2. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day 5 days a week.
3. Eat healthy on whatever plan you have chosen.
4. Add more leafy greens, they are the BEST!
5. Add at least one toning exercise for arms, stomach, thighs, problem jiggly parts.
6. Encourage each team member who replies to this thread by posting on their Sparkpage every week, either words of encouragement or give them a goodie.
7. Love and hugs.
