Hey, I haven't been on here in awhile, but I'm in on the push-up challenge. Will get in my 10 tonight...going to try to do the rest of the month with full-out push ups. Who's wit me? Ha...

Also, is anyone a World's Gym member (or former member)? Any opinions on this gym? I'm losing my University of Arkansas spouse status next week (partner has graduated!), so I'm looking for a new gym in Fayetteville.

Still on track - Did 10 modified pushups yesterday. Thinking about trying to do 5 real pushups today and finish off with the modified.

It's absolutely fine! Glad to have you.

I think I actually doubled-up on push-ups yesterday. I'm pretty sure I got my 10 in at lunch when I was doing some other stretches, and I forgot and did another 10 last night! Still on the modified version and they don't really seem to be getting easier yet, but that will come.

I'm just now seeing this challenge, but I'm ready to jump in if that is OK. Upper body strength is something I could definitely use more of, and push-ups are one of my weakest exercises (second only to pull-ups).

I've been doing the wall version for a few months (not regularly enough I'm afraid), but I really struggle with the "girly" version, and am nowhere close to the standard ones.

I will start by trying to do as many modified push-ups as I can, and then fill-in with the wall push-ups. This will fit well with my current goal of 30 minutes of exercise every day for August (5/5 so far).

I've been sticking with it! 10 modified pushups every day so far. I was reading a post somewhere about a lady that did this and it ended up kickstarting her whole weight loss program. I guess I should report in every day though - I'm just learning how all this message board stuff works!

For August, let's try to get in 10 pushups a day. Doesn't matter if they are true pushups, girl pushups, or wall pushups - JUST D0 10!

Track them in your "other goals" section and let's see if we can build some upper body strength this month. My goal is to get from doing the "girl" pushups up to doing the real deal.

Good luck!
