Tonight I'm going to mix it up. Instead of what I've been doing latley, I'm going to DANCE for at least 20 minutes.
Salsa, merengue, cha cha, and run up and down the stairs every now and then. I'll throw in some lunges etc. for good measure.
So turn up the music and let's dance! emoticon

oops!! I went a little MIA emoticon I see a few others did as well emoticon Come on CLASS Let's do this!! emoticon
I've had a challenge going on and I'm finally getting my butt back in gear. Mainly Thanks TO YOU! emoticon This challenge got me back up and moving. Last week I did have a same gain, but NOT even a pound. The two weeks before I lost 3 pounds totally.
So I want to challenge the next person to do like I did Tuesday. EVERY time you go to the bathroom you have to do some form of Exercise for at least ONE MINUTE. emoticon

I did my stepper for at least 1 min. every time I went Tues. those steps really add up. I'm off to do some CRUNCHES! emoticon

Hi there emoticon
I took that challenge and did the 7-min. seated Resistance Band Workout for Upper Body. I choose this b/c TOM is kicking my butt today so I figured Seated emoticon Upper body emoticon Let's do this.
I liked it, it was really easy so I might do it again later today. I thought I would flip when she mentioned Push ups at the end emoticon but she didn't over do them so NOT so bad. emoticon

Let's do this again....Love to hear about some Free Good Workouts!
Keep it going!

Sorry I seemed to disappear there. I've got a killer chest cold, and my blood sugar numbers started out yesterday in the way too low to be functional zone. I've still got the cold, but the sugar is back in the norm.

I pick the 9 minute seated arm and shoulder that I discovered as part of this challenge. I find it awesome! I don't have alot of fancy equipment because I simply have no room, but all I need with this is a chair and a set of dumbells. It's a great workout, and for someone like me who has to exercise in 10 minutes spurts most days, this is just the right fit.

I'd love for the next person to continue this challenge...let me know which videos you like as well!

Okay ladies/gents - I needed a pick-me up, so I did the 11min seated cardio. It's really great! I am keeping it on my list of go-to's.

For the next Sparker -
Dumbell Squats - SP says 2 sets of 12-15, but do what you can
Alternating Dumbell Bicep curls - same as above

remember that you can use bottles of water or canned goods for weights.
Also - make it easy on yourself and add the exercises directly to your Fitness tracker!

Alrighty Aftermykids. I'll take up your challenge, but it will have to be tonight when I get home. I haven't done either of those before, so it will be a good mix up for me emoticon

Let me think on what to challenge the next person with.....Got it!

Next person:

Do the 11-Minute Seated Cardio Workout video, and eat at minimum one fruit during the day.

Sorry I'm out ALL day on Wed. but I'll take that challenge PUSH ups and water. I needed to get in some more water tonight and I haven't done push ups in a while (25 wall one's for me PLEASE!)

My legs have been killing me from some squats the other day so the push ups are nice.

Next person......
See how long you can hold the airplane pose followed by some hammer curls emoticon use cans if you don't have weights. Try for 10 on each side. Now do 2-5 min. stretching! Always important emoticon

I am so glad I found this thread! :-)

Did the 9 minute seated arm and shoulder workout (used my 24 ounce filled water bottle since I am at work) and went to the cafeteria this morning in search of a veggie, since I had fruit in my lunch today. I am not a huge veggie person, so this was really a challenge! Girl in the cafe gave me for free 1/4 of baby carrots in exchange for me fixing the coffee maker. I think I got the better end of the deal LOL

For the next person: 12 push ups (modified if needed). I normally do these as wall push ups since there is no room in my office.

And drink 2 glasses of water!

First - I have to say I LOVE this thread. The exercise aren't too hard or too time intensive. If I find myself getting low on energy today, wanting coffee or a snack or a nap, I just pulled this up and did an exercise instead and told myself if that didn't work - I could always resort to the coffee. Well, no coffee today folks!

20 sets of dumbell side bends

10 calf raises with the chair - have to be careful here, irritated an achiles tendon issue with the jumping jacks today.

for the next person ----
1) do the 9 minute seated arm and shoulder workout (use canned food instead of dumbells if you don't have them)
2) eat a veggie as a snack rather than something sugar/starch/chocolatey

I'm going to try cause it sounds good to me. Not sure how much I can do given my arthritis and I'm a bit older, but, hey, I feel WAY younger since starting nearly 2 years ago. Whatever I do, I'll post.
You'll definitely get some reaction from me!

Ok right under the challenge forum we have fun and games. Let's take a cue from that and turn it into exercise, nutrient or something more than just working our fingers. It doesn't matter if you are at home, in public or at work because you chose to do or not do the next thing. Let's get this team up and going and let's get some people posting. I see people playing games late at night but that just means more sitting on our butts!

So I'll go first, I just did 100 crunches....next person 10 crunches & 25 squats.

If you can't do crunches feel free to modify, how about some standing knee raises.
If you can't do 25 squats, do them and post how many you did.
Who's in?
