Thanks for the Challenge all. Toastie is right wearing the pedometer made me far more aware of what I was doing. Making choices to rather use the stairs than the elevator because it would give me more paces or walking the longer route to somewhere. Can't wait for the January Challenge.

ok well, I've got a dilemma.
First, let me say this week I forgot to reset my ped. well, the first two days I did then I got lazy. I knew for sure how many miles I did on Thursday and so I took my total, took Thurs. number and then divided the other days equally.
Ok my dilemma: I lost the paper where I wrote my numbers for four days a couple of weeks ago. What should I do? If I average out all my days, I'd get close to 6 miles and I know for sure I didn't even reach 5 miles for those four days. what to do what to do.................???

Good news my back is getting better (not quickly enough for me. I have saved my pedomiter readings up and sense last thursday (my last post) I have walked

It's REALLY frustrating when you're on public transport and they get delayed for whatever reason, and there's NOTHING you can do!! I was on my way to a job inteview once on a bus and old lady collapsed in the doorway as she was getting off - we had to wait for the ambulance and no-one was allowed to leave the bus as she was blocking the way out. I was late for the interview and didn't get the job!!!!

I've been finishing exams and Tuesday I found out I was leaving on Thursday to visit my parents in TX. Well, I lost my passport - sooooo bad; can't get on the plane without it. But thank goodness I looked for it when I did - I had just two hours to get packed (hadn't started at that point) and leave 12 hours sooner than I intended and catch a bus to Seattle so I could make my flight (land crossing restrictions less strict). The people I met and the things that happened...incredibly amazing. despite the 25 hours of travel, I'm glad things worked out the way they did. I met this amazing guy; most of my trip connecting with him. He helped me get to the border on time (our bus driver was contracted and given a horrible map, not to mention a crazy drunk passenger chugged the egg nog he smuggled on the bus who was trying to get to his parents home set us 1 hour behind schedule). If we had been 15 minutes later, I would have never made it home.
Since I've arrived, I've been catching up with sleep and settling in. Now I'm catching up with SP so please forgive my absence.

I keep almost losing mine, but it's been ok since I stuck it on my sock instead of my waistband. Trouble is if it fell off my sock I might not even notice!! I've been trying to think of ways to attach it more securely, the string idea sounds good. Oh, and I don't always wear mine, then guesstimate the steps based on what I've done on similar days in the past. Times like if I'm going out somehwere nice (or if I know I may drink a bit........I lose all sorts of things in that situation!!!!)

OMG! I can't count the times my ped has nearly fallen into the toilet! I had a string on my last one..then it stopped working. My husband, 2 older daughters and I all have our own Peds. We're doing the Walk to Rivendell. We've actually passed Rivendell and are aproaching the city of the Elves...I forget the name. Morthian made me a Spreadsheet for my fam. That reminds me..I need to ask her about the Race Spreadsheet. I think we are all going to need days added and i don't know if it will automatically add them. I'll send her a message. Rin, I'd just use an average. We're so close to the end and you shouldn't have to buy another unless you want.

We are currently in 1st place but the 2nd place team have alot of people who haven't updated. We have 319 miles left in the Race. I'm going to try to make this my best week yet! JUWANEWA: you don't need to post here your mileage if you don't want to - but gen discussion is a lot of fun.
Birthday Spreadsheet - I have a different idea... how about a calendar? I can do the same permissions like google documents for the birthdays and team events using google calendar. I've started it and the link can be found under "Team Links" (challengedata.blogspot.com).
I'm sorry I haven't been as active as I normally am. I've been through hell over the past week. I'm so proud of all the accomplishments in both this challenge and the other. Everyone is doing amazing!
