Hello15 - I thought about you last night when I tried the Green Giant Giant Bites - Broccoli & cheese. They have a few more calories than the single servings because they are breaded, but they definitely put broccoli in there. Some of these things you can barely find the broccoli, but not in these - it's definitely there and the cheese, too.

Oh gosh, I don't mind. A friend gave it to me. I will be adding it to my cookbook (hopefully in the next couple of days)... I'll let you know when it's there. It uses oats and several other things and I'm drawing a complete blank right now. It's very good, though!

This sounds good evn though I'm not big on mixing my foods (something about soft and crunchy).

I have a granola recipe that's really pretty good; I'm hoping to make it over the Christmas break and do something along these lines for a snack.

I do eat the no sugar added applesauce - I so don't get why they add sugar in the first place. Plus, I'm trying to eat it with some protein. They now make the Peach/Mango Applesauce without added sugar and it's very tasty.

Trying to add a little variety to my fruits. As much as I like bananas, they just make me hungry if I eat them too many days in a row.

Thanks for the ideas I like applesauce, I just worry about the sugar. I will look into no sugar added applesauce. I'm going to also try the frozen fruit. They have a big bag of mixed fruit frozen at Sam's.

Tomorrow I'm going to eat raisins with my cereal for breakfast. For lunch I'll take a bag of my frozen veggie soup that I made and eat 2 veggie servings and an apple for a snack. For dinner I'll have left-over butterbeans with a banana for dessert. Then I'll probably have an orange for a late snack. So that's 4 fruits and 3 veggies. I take medication for diabetes and have to eat around 70 carbs at each meal.

I like the idea of the orange for the late snack. I usually eat dinner late, so don't do a snack, but it might be nice before the spin class tonight.

I eat a minimum of 5-6 fruits and veggies per day.

Today I had Mixed Fruit (peaches,strawberries,grapes,pineapple etc. from a huge bag of frozen fruits). and an apple with lunch. For dinner I'll have butterbeans, and corn. For a snack before bed I'll have an orange.

Yeah... it makes me hungry. So, I'm trying to eat it with a protein. So, Monday I ate Peach/Mango applesauce with 2 peanut butter crackers ("home made").

Today was terrible. No veggies and no fruit. Tomorrow should be better.

I got off track... but did better last week. Funny thing is the week that I ate next to no fruit, I lost more weight than I had in a long time. LOL.

Today, I had spinach and mushrooms in breakfast. I'm going for applesauce and grapes as snacks and will have corn and black-eyed peas with dinner.

I like them frozen because it takes care of CRUNCHING. I miss potato chips. You can not eat as many frozen they are too cold.

I've heard that frozen grapes are really good, but even refrigerated ones are a bit cold for my taste, so I usually eat mine a room temp. Though, I should consider freezing them when I get them and letting them go room temp when I ready. They'd probably keep longer.

Today, I had broccoli and carrots in my lunch and taters with dinner. The last of my grapes today on the way home.

I stopped by the store tonight, but the grapes looked awful, however the bananas looked good (really green, so I'll have them for awhile) as did the oranges.

How about grapes? They seem to be in season right now and are portable.

I've been doing okay. Black-eyed peas and green peas in lunch (yesterday too), baked potato last night with dinner. Grapes yesterday and today. Getting back on track after a week traveling.

Yesterday, I had spinach in breakfast, a tad of lettuce on my sandwich, and black-eyed peas with dinner. Had an orange while waiting for dinner

Today, I'm not doing so good. Had a smoothie this morning (with peaches and pineapple) so I guess that can count as a fruit. Dinner is out, so hopefully I can get some type of veggie in there.

For the first time I had all eight servings.

5 fruits = banana, dates, 2 apples + peach for breakfast and two snacks.

3 vegetables = spinach & side salad for luch ,roasted veggie at dinner

Yesterday, spinach and mushrooms in breakfast; Caesar salad for dinner (dressing on the side), so lots of romaine lettuce. Not sure about tonight's dinner. No fruit or veggies yet. I expect some type of veggie with dinner, though.

Yesterday, I had peppers and onions with lunch and a big salad with dinner. For fruit, I had a pear with breakfast, an apple at lunch, and 3 servings of pineapple smoothie with dinner and as snacks. I'm trying to eat at least one fruit with every meal now.

Yesterday, I had a pear w/ breakfast, apples at lunch, a tangerine as a snack, and then another tangerine with dinner. For veggies, I had broccoli and carrots with lunch, and a sub with a ton of veggies on it for dinner.
