I haven't redone the tests. Having done it 3/4 to the end of the month, I'm going to wait until the end of March. Although part of my strength training includes pushups and crunches... So maybe those will really help.

I increased the pushups by four, makes me feel like a weenie. So I'm going to keep doing it for the month of March.

Ahem... Oread.. February isn't over yet. If you're interested (and you don't have to be) the tests are 1 minute and you can just pick one. I mark the article as a favorite and do it after you've been working out a while.

I am so glad I just joined and it is too late for me to feel guilty about the tests. I would fail miserably. Give me a test on calculating my menus or how many smiles I got today. I might have a chance.
I will be filling out the new member info post haste.

I don't have a step -- so didn't do it.

19 for pushups: average (but I did the modified ones--does the chart reflect that?)

16 for crunches: between "needs work" and "marginal"

Wow! Great challenge. I will have to do this... probably tonight after work. I know that I feel not very fitness fit and always wondered good (or even average!) was.. although I fear that I'm in the "poor" section for all three tests. Well, we'll find out!

Did the push-up test last week. I don't have anything to measure it by, but I generally do I set of 12 for my arm routine. I did 30 in one minute, which made me think maybe I should up the sets I do when I do arms.

And, maybe sometime after that see where I'm at.

Yeah, same with me with crunches, doing them every day to build up muscle and increase my score for my end of the month check. :o) I'm also considering doing a mid-month check to see where I am at.

You guys are motivating me! I'll do mine this weekend. I do push-ups with my arm routine, but I'm careful of my wrists. Sit-ups I do about 4 days a week, so it will be interesting to see how I do.

Ok, I just did the pushup test. I got 27, which is average for my age. I'd like to do a little better. Now my arms are really sore! I'm gonna try the aerobic step test too, I think.

I hadn't thought of doing it twice, I really like that idea. It will be neat to see how far we can go in a month! Has anyone done it yet? How did you do? I'm going to do mine for the first of the month tonight, and I'll do it again the last day of the month to check my progress!

Thanks for this great challenge, Adlins. I've been planning, for the longest time, to take those tests and see where I am, so this will be my big push to do that. I hope that it'll give me an idea what exercise I should be focussing on to make improvements.

Hi all. We're now a whole month in 2009. Since February is a short month, this month's challenge will be a short one.
