Hey Ali, Wow have I been getting over tummy troubles, etc. I am back! I started running and work is super crazy busy. I have not been counting points, but will start tomorrow. How have you been?

I am new to WW and this team, and have a question. I had spaghetti the other night and wanted to know if I was to just track it as spaghetti with meat sauce or the noodles, then meat, then sauce individually?

I'll be MIA this week. I'm on vacation in the Caribbean! (just checking in while my daughter naps) so I won't be tracking, I'll probably be eating at restaurants for many meals & it's too hard to track. I do plan to workout nearly every morning (I did so today).
I'll be back on track next week. Thanks to tracking my food & getting active, I'm in the 140's. Less than a year ago I was 200+ lbs. This works & I'll be back

I'm a little nuts with tracking - lol! I track on stools everyday, no matter what. Then I track on spark & here most of the time. I like the accountability of this message board. And I don't think I'll pay for WW forever, so I like to see how my points translate into calories, fat, carbs, etc. so that's why I like spark.
Deb - does your friend mean most people are eating more than they're tracking & working out less than they're tracking? I wonder if that's a portion control thing.

Good Morning Ladies, I have a question, how many places do you track your points. I am a monthly subscriber to meetings so I track on etools, then I come to spark and track in my Nutrition tracker and then I see you guys are doing it here. Any thoughts? I hate putting in into spark people tracker because it is seems to screw up my totals there.

Ali- Not yet, I am off tomorrow. I was visiting with my friend who works at WW. She said most people count too low for food they eat and too high for activity level. I wonder if it is better to reverse that? Thoughts?

My change has been so dramatic & it's so recent that I can say: I got fat by eating ______! Or I'm really still trying to be good. You could just claim you have tummy issues (like now).
Bring your lunch as much as you can so they don't invite you to order out.
Eat a snack before the "birthday" or whatever celebration. You can refuse cake by saying your it hungry & mean it because you're not! I will take a piece to be social & after 2 bites, dip the end of the fork in the frosting. I'm not going to get my hand all sticky at work, so it stops me from eating the rest!
I guess people don't think slim people have to try and work at it to be slim/healthy. I might be guilty of that too. Even though I'm watching what I eat, I still encourage people to eat what they want.

I haven't had grape nuts in forever! I have an Amish recipe for them! LOL
Still battling the stomach issue.

I'm fortunate that most of the people in my life know how hard I've been working and most are good about not pushing too hard. My inlaw's have us over for dinner a lot & my father in law likes to serve large portions. That's tough! He's gotten the hit & will let me serve myself now...I think my MIL may have said something :)

I've been so busy this week & now my daughter has pink eye! Ugh! I've still been able to make good food choices though. D- I haven't been eating all of my weekly points but have been allowing myself more than I did before your advice. I've stayed pretty much the same weight for the past 3 weeks (.5 lb difference) but have lost 10 lbs in he past 2 months. So I guess it's working for me.

Ali, How are you feeling about the points/week issue we have talked about in the past. I know they say we are to use all the points to lose faster but I don't find it to be true for me. Or, maybe I am not REALLY counting correctly? What if I count a tiny bit high for everything, instead of rounding down, round up to use more of the points within what I am already eating? I am not sure, just trying to figure out why the scale moves when I cut points but not if I eat them all!??? Hope all is well with you!

Ali, It's a marriage seminar, it is good. We are in the Rocky Mtns, which are beautiful. We have been married for 35 years but our kids gave us this for a present. There are some projects to do post conference, which also could be good.
I see you had a vita pizza. What do you think? I haven't found in the stores around here yet. Which kind did you try?

Good luck finding the right weight, it is not easy to balance what we want vs what is reasonable. I have been shooting for 130 for a long time and I get stuck about 134-136. It is hard to get below that for some reason.
I work at a school too, and I have been moved from the building at a middle school to the annex. I am going to come up with a plan to try and be effective in that space. It will be challenging because teachers are not going to want to come out to see me.
Good luck with your changes. I hope you find the balance that works for you. The tummy is a bad spot for me as well. I have never had a flat tummy - it is my ultimate wish, but I fear a wish and not a goal.

Thanks! I'm excited to be so close to my goal. I reset it from 140 to 130. Though I'm not sure that's the right goal/weight for me. I'll see as I get closer. I may be satisfied at 140 ish. My main goal now is fitness & toning up. I still have a jelly belly from pregnancy...
Good luck with the changes at work. I'm going through that myself. I work for a school & have been in admissions for 6 years. I recently took a position in HR. I'm splitting my time between both jobs through the end of the month & there just aren't enough hours in the day!!!

I've been pretty steady on my weight loss. For the most part I only go over my daily points by a few. I also have my activity points deducted before I use my weekly points when I track online. So for this week I earned 42 activity points & have 19 left. Tomorrow is weigh in day & those pints will reset. Maybe try limiting your extra points to activity instead of weekly?
Ali, I have been counting all points for a couple of weeks, using my weekly points too. I am not losing more weight. Are you feeling like that is working for you? I am thinking of trying to use only my daily points. What are your thoughts?
