I'm hoping you have gotten or found the answer to your question by now. But, if you have not, the answer would be no, to receiving the emails again. However, the 7-Day workout plan is under the Daily Workout & Challenge Forum.

Hi Denise. I'm back to SP and need to get into a regular routine of working out. Idid the bootcamp a few years ago and was excited to get started again. The bootcamp seems to be non-existent. Or maybe you can guide me the right direction. I remember I used to get an e-mail telling me what the daily routines were. Can this happen again?

I will often use the exercises from this site. I started a long time ago, and then had ear problems and wasn't able to complete. I haven't been certain when it was active or still is. Perhaps if it isn't we can begin again and, as you suggest create our own threads.

On Oprah's tv station OWN, she is going to have a program about 'food addictions'. It should be interesting and enlightning.

I am certain you have encountered these questions many times. However, I am totally lost today on the site. (1) Where and what are the bonus challenges?
(2) I have just completed Spark people's official 28 day bootcamp, and would like to join this one. How do I do this, and where do I keep myself accountable?

Unfortunately this contest ended in January. You can still follow the bootcamp, but there aren't weekly prizes available anymore.

Thank you once again. I truly appreciate your timely responses to all of my inquiries. I will continue, then as planned, and will take your advice and visit the site for more information. It has been sadly neglected since my first poor attempts. I am now becoming healthy enough to actively seek tools to improve my physical condition.
Wishing you a "Sparked" day.

Thank you for the information. I think when I originally obtained my bootcamp exercises it was during a contest or challenge. I didn't know they did that. If that is the case, I will restart that series so that I will become more competent with the exercises.
Will notification come if they do a special challenge?
I am making an effort to add a variety of workouts and these are good motivators for me. After this next one I will probably began fit, firm and fired up. Thanks again.
Wishing you the best as you continue your journey.

I'm not sure what you mean about starting again with new leaders. There are several bootcamp teams, each with its own set of videos. I'm also not sure what you mean about getting credit for doing the exercises. You can follow any of the bootcamp routines even though the contest part is over.

I have completed the New You Bootcamp that was probably the original. I noted it has started again with new leaders. I viewed the first exercises and they looked similar. I am wondering if I can do the old exercises again to improve on the form and still get the same credit?

ZAURORA - The Sunday cardio video is in the cardio tracker database. Go to your Fitness Tracker page, click on add cardio, then search or browse for the video title. The rest of the videos are strength, and there is a button at the bottom of the page where the videos play that will add them to your strength tracker.

I haven't seen this question asked yet, but if it was, I'm sorry that I didn't find it first!

Now that I have the bonus spot in my "Other Goals", what will I put there? It is supposed to be for the Boot Camp Bonus, but that is finished.

I just wonder what you would say about this... Thanks!

In the Spark Your Body boot camp, there was a goal we could join that showed up on our "other goals" tab. Instead of a box to check mark, it had a "+" where you could enter some free-form notes. (For example, I entered the challenge for the day, "drink 8 glasses of water".)

Does anyone know how to get this particular format in a goal? I've played around with all of goal options and I can't figure it out!

Thank you!

In order to be eligible to win the grand prize you need to have logged 500 fitness minutes in the month of January. Check your total on the right side of the page under SparkAmerica Fitness Minutes to see if you will be eligible or not. Congrats on the success that you've had with bootcamp!

Can I get in on the drawings if I did not do the cardio minutes? Have adrenal fatigue so...can't right now. Or is this also a requirement? Even if I don't get credit, I had a fantastic experience! I lost four pounds, re-figured my program goals to support the fatigue. Hope you can help though!

CASSI44 - There's really nothing you can substitute for the stability ball. I've heard other team members get them as cheap as $5 at discount stores. You can either modify the exercises if possible, or do a different video that works the same body parts without the ball.

Hi, I posted this in another thread, but haven't gotten a response. I'm still trying to get used to all of this! lol

I don't have a stability ball ... the last 2 days' videos have used the stability ball. Is there something that I can use instead to be just as effective?

Thanks in advance,

IZADORA1945, try to plan snacks ahead of time so that if you get hungry you will grab a healthy snack instead of whatever is at hand. A small handful of almonds, fruit, veggies, etc. Also the nutrition tracker here is an excellent tool. It will even track certain vitamins and minerals that you choose, like calcium. You are doing great so keep at it and continue to make healthy decisions and choices.

IZORA1945, It is never too late! It sounds like you're already off to a great start. A loss of seven pounds in one month is very good progress. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week so you're doing very well. SparkPeople has all the tools you need to succeed. Check out the nutrition tracker on your start page. You can log your food there and it will even give you a meal plan to follow if you choose that option. Don't be too hard on yourself.

It's hard to break bad habits over night. Set small goals at first and them aim for bigger ones as you progress. Making better food choices will come with time. Consistency is key and your hard work will pay off if you stick with it. Best of luck!

Ashley - As long as you are tracking your exercise and have marked the option to show yourself on the leaderboards, then you will be entered in the weekly drawings for prizes. That option is listed on this page: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/p

Ok, sparkpeople shows that I'm logged in everywhere else, but when I go to the video page to do today's video it says I'm not, and so it doesn't have the add to fitness tracker button. I've tried logging out and in again 5 times and it's still the same. What's up?

Thanks for the information. So if I track everything in my fitness tracker then the person who figures out the prize at the end can go in and look at that to see if I qualify? Is there anything special that I have to do so anyone can see that?
Thanks

NBR1MOMNDAD - There are no strict rules for participating in the bootcamp. In order to be eligible for the proze drawing at the end of the month you need to have logged at least 500 fitness minutes for the month. The weekly routine is one video each day and 5 days a week of 30 minutes of your choice of cardio. You log these in your fitness tracker, there is no special tracking for bootcamp. You can also join the team goals at the bottom of the main team page. You can start with the Day 6 video and just continue on from there. The bootcamp team will remain open after the contest is over for those who want to continue.

i just decided to join this bootcamp. In order to participate what do I have to do? After reading I assume we have to do the workout video for each day. Even though today would be day 1 for me, do I start on the day 6 video? Where do I log my stuff so it can be tracked? What is all tracked here? Please help!!!! I really want to begin the boot camp.

AMBUDMAN - Planks primarily work your core, but they also work your arms and shoulders. Have you tried doing them with your knees on the ground? That is the entry level for the pose. You can also try with your forearms on the ground rather than your hands. The best way to gain the core strength to do these exercises is to keep trying them, for shorter periods of time, and with modifications, until you build up.

I can not do the planks, even on the stability ball I have a very hard time. Are there some strength exercises I can do in place of the planks to work my strength up in that area? Does that mean I need to strengthen my upper body?

It doesn't work for me either. I will report it on the tech board.

I cannot save Monday's Bonus Challenge video to my favorites. Is anyone else having this technical issue or is it just me? Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it work?

MRSSTOGS - For the strength videos, Monday through Saturday, there is a link at the bottom of the page where the video is to add it to your tracker. There is also an option to add it to a different day if you're logging previous days. For the Sunday cardio video, it is listed by name in the cardio tracker.

Okay, thanks! And when I go to the fitness tracker, it'll let me search for these videos? That's where I was having trouble, because it seems to only show specific exercises.

MRSSTOGS - When you open your Fitness Tracker, at the top of the strength tracker or the cardio tracker, it shows a little calendar picture that you can click on to choose a different day to add something to the tracker.

I'm sorry, I know you're very busy, but I need a little more help than that. :P Where is the calendar located? How is it used?

ALBA83, If you need to substitute the videos that's fine. It will still count for bootcamp.
