Isn't it just? I mean, ohmygosh goodness!

It IS mostly about meat, but the exceptions are wonderful!

Got the Cook's Illustrated grilling edition plus the Summer Entertaining, made the salmon with the lime and jalopeno jelly-based sauce and it was worth five times the price of the magazine. Next time we will increase the amount of sauce so we can have extra to put over our wild rice blend. Thanks again for the tip. I also made the vegetable gratin from the entertaining edition and it was wonderful.

Thank you so much! I'm going to the bookstore immediatly to get this. You always have such good suggestions. I have some whole grain taco shells just begging for a fish taco recipe and that salmon glaze sounds cosmic.

This is one of several summer special editions put out by Cook's Illustrated, and I have to HIGHLY recommend it.

This has a picture of a slow-pulled BQ pork sandwich on the cover, so yes, there are A LOT of meat recipes in it -- but as we've noted, several of us come from "mixed" families. However it has two MUST have recipes in it.

The first is a baja-style fish taco that looks wonderful. No, I haven't had it, but it really simply can't be bad given the recipe.

But the other, OMG, the other. This is called Ultimate Glazes Salmon and it is made with a mixture of jalapeno jelly, cilantro, lime and butter. It transforms salmon into something you wouldn't be surprised to pay big bucks for at a fancy restaurant. Unbelievably good!

Far as I know, you'll need to pick it up in a bookstore like B&N or Borders, but it is well worth the trip!
