I'm on "rest" from exercise due to a cough after being ill with a real nasty cold. I started training for a virtual 5K, then had to go to "rest" for the cough. I'll get the dr. involved if it doesn't abate by Friday.

I've been doing great with the challenge. Worked out four days in a row, then woke up with muscle fatigue that said NO for today. Since it wasn't the Inner Brat whine of "I don't wanna" I listened.

And since it was a beautiful day (after 4 or 5 gray, gloomy ones), I went for a lovely post-work stroll with the pup. So a rest day with gentle movement. Most enjoyable.

Well done, Cathy!

My goal is to not go two days in a row without exercising. I got a workout in yesterday, so check on that point, but I felt really off last night, sort of sick, so went to bed super early and slept until the last possible moment this a.m. so no workout today. On track as long as I get up and go tomorrow.

Callie,
I schedule in rest days or at least leave my goal open to accommodate some days when I do not feel like exercising or do not have time. Today was a combination of those two factors and I didn't exercise. I do not feel badly at all for that since I have done well all week. I intend to workout tomorrow.

I should have said that my goal was to exercise most days each week.

Every day can be a good goal as long as you included scheduled rest days. My knees said no this a.m. which doesn't surprise me since I have new hardwood floors and have never tried to exercise without a carpet underfoot.

Didn't have the mat situation under control. Do now, but I needed to take today off. I don't consider that a broken goal unless a scheduled day off becomes two days goofing off.

My favored goal is "most days." It allows me to listen to my body, yet keeps the goal in play.

Congrats Callie! I hope you continue to have good luck with your WATP DVDs. I like those.

My goal right now is to eat on my plan (Weight Watchers) each day and to get at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise per day. I have gotten in the exercise for 2 days in a row.

I need to get exercise into my life to both ease stress and get healthier overall. So to start small, I want to do a 2-mile Walk Away the Pounds DVD in the mornings.

We all have something we want to do, but often the process seems overwhelming. It's not "I should start exercising," but "I should add aerobics, sit-ups, yoga and push-ups to my daily routine."

Is it any wonder our Inner Brats run in terror?

So let's try taking things one step at a time. For this challenge, declare ONE thing you will be working on for this week, then check in here with your progress.

When the new week rolls around, you can either add to it or stick with what you are doing. Your choice!
