I was doing good on this challenge - until I had my minor surgery on Wednesday. I've been in too much pain to do much of anything. Hoping the pain goes away soon!

A - accomplishments: My shirts are feeling looser, and I've been purchasing a smaller size!

I'm not doing the meditation. Maybe I should reduce it to 3. X per week.

Exercise - I want to increase the time I workout. I had been getting about 30 minutes. I want to gradually work up to 60. Yesterday I did 45 minutes, today 41.

Accomplishment - I need to think about this one.

Spread the Spark - I will comment on at least one blog daily.

Track - I will track my exercise, food, and water. Tracked all my food yesterday, was over but still tracked.

Eat healthy - I will have five servings of fruits/ veggies daily and 3 servings of dairy. Yesterday I had 3 veggies, but no fruit.

Recognize your positive steps - I took the time to prepare healthy food and weighed/measured everything!

My goals for April:

Exercise - 15 min three times a day on the Wii. emoticon

Accomplishment - I have lost 4 lbs since I started Sparks. Previously I was at a complete standstill. emoticon

Track - Track veggies and fruit emoticon emoticon emoticon

Recognize - I will meditate and pray each day. Currently I don't take time to recognize any of my accomplishments. emoticon

E - Exercise: I am starting the SP 5K training

E - exercise. I need to work on consistency. I did exercise for 45 minutes today so I am off to a good start.
A - accomplishments...I lost 20 pounds over the past year
T - tracked food and fitness today
E - eat well-balanced meals. I will work on this this week
R - recognize + steps eahc day. I got dressed today and that's my positive thing for the day.

I am going to start with accomplishments.

I have successfully lost about 30 lbs. (although the scale is slowly moving in the wrong direction) these numbers mean so much more than just a number on the scale. I am taking tamoxifen and an almost guaranteed side effect is significant weight gain. I beat my bully! Instead of gaining, I lost weight. This has led to so many non scale victories.. I KNOW I can do anything I put my mind to (with God's help of course). I am no longer the terrible procrastinator I used to be. I still procrastinate, but am way better than I was. I can make decisions easier too.

I know how to keep the numbers on the scale in line with my goals. When I derail, I am learning to get back in there quickly.

E = Exercise - mainly strentgh training. I actully made myself do it today already, so we'll see how many more times this week I can get myself to do it this week. I already do yoga and cardio every day. I just need to work on scheduling in some strength training.

I am going to focus on E exercise....something I do every day, makes me feel good, and is something I enjoy doing! I am also going to focus on S and visit a team member's page every day!

This week our challenge is to choose at least 2 of the options below to work on daily or weekly, whichever suits you. If you want to really challenge yourself, give them all a try each day. Let us know your choices and goals to achieve them. Remember to set your goals to really challenge yourself.

E - Exercise: What area do you need to work on this week?
A - Accomplishments: Which accomplishments do you love the most, or are most proud of?
S - Spark: Spread the spark throughout the team. Visit a teammate’s sparkpage and leave an uplifting message, a word of encouragement, or a welcome to a new member.
T - Track: Fitness, food, freggies, water, or any other goals important to you.
E - Eat: healthy, well balanced meals this week, and be mindful of your portions.
R - Recognize: Take time to recognize your positive steps each day, even if they seem insignificant.

As always, come back and share your progress daily.
