1385 in February, but basically stopped exercising from Monday through Thursday. That's a long break for me, and it wasn't a cheerful one. One day of prescribed rest from the chiropractor turned into 3 days of grumpiness (not prescribed by anyone!). Oh well. Today's a new day, a new month, and I've exercised. emoticon

I did it! Goal 1000
Reached 1017

It was a tough last week. I had to really pump it up. I didn't feel good to boot!

Another one of those weeks where I proved to myself that a little willpower and tenacity go a long way to prove to myself that I can do more than I think I can. :)

Oh my.. I have been keeping up with my daily exercise, no matter what, no excuses... But have not gotten my long walks in. I am going to have to really step it up to reach my 1000 minutes this month. I am at 527 right now. With February being a short month, that's not helping.

I didn't quite make it to 1500 minutes last month. I also exhausted myself by reorganizing my entire kitchen during the last week of the month and have had to take it easier so far this month. But, I'm feeling better and I'm ready to get back on track. The good news is that I learned a lot from the experience. :D

I am sticking with 1000 minutes a month.

Although I move plenty, this month I will re-focus and spend more time on ST and Cardio, and enjoy my nature walks with the pups too.

Just got the report and a long conversation with the oncologist... I am cancer free.
I can start working out a bit more intensely and moving my hips more, engaging my core, and bending at my waist again. YAH... he said I will continue to feel exhausted for a few more weeks or a month but the more I move the better I will feel.
I am going to increase my strength training to more intensity, focus on my core again, and then upper and lower body.
Cardio is going to be no more than 10 minutes a day probably 4 times a week.
I am going to pledge 1800 minutes
I want to give my back and body the time it needs to heal, with all the good food and movement that will supply more blood throughout my body... and increase the blood production to bring up my blood levels.
WOW, what a month and a half. Time to refocus, revive and readjust back to the life I love where movement is an significant part of life.

I am sticking with what works for me.

1000 minutes a month + strength training.

I will achieve this my keeping my everyday, no matter what...NO EXCUSES rules going. My strength training is not an intense workout... But, I do something.. Everyday no matter what. Strength training is usually 1-5 minutes, and I keep track on a calendar so I rest body parts responsibly too.

I don't know how everyone else feels about this thread, but it does help me stay motivated to move my body!

This challenge repeats every month. We are to choose a realistic number of fitness minutes each month that we will work toward reaching. Post that goal here, and throughout the month come post an update. You can update in whatever fashion works for you. Some members choose to update daily, others just a couple times a month.

Don't feel bad if your goal is not as lofty as another's. each of us is on a different part of this journey.

If you are joining part way through the month, please feel free to jump in too. Just make sure you are realistic too. ;)

Remember, goodies are given at the end of the month so don't forget to update at the end of the month.
