I just looked at your week - how wonderful to be able to relax in the sun! Right now it's about as warm as it's going to be for a few days, and it's only 12' F - a little cool for sunbathing! lol

Congrats on the closet cleaning, too. I know that can be a pretty tough job sometimes!

Active - 5 days out of 7 - not too bad
New - went through the intro of the Tae Bo set of videos - what a challenge!
Uplift - think I've been doing better, although the last couple of days have found me a little less outward
Action - did see the doctor, added in yoga all last week, did some strength training as well (until I met with said doctor - my routine has been intensified, and I need to focus on getting some more stamina for the cardio before I do too much more strengthening)

J - Just Do It: I've been working on taking the Christmas decorations down. Hubby is taking them out to the garage as Intype this! I also started working on our budget for the year last night.

N -New: I tried unsweetened almond milk. I love it and DH was carrying on about it last night . It's a big hit!

A -Action: it's been a crazy week with a house guest and travel, but I've exercised today and been better about the freggies this week.

J - JUST DO IT! I re-visited the closet, and purged quite a bit more.

A - ACTIVE: Added an extra long walk with my fur-buds, meandering through the woods. We really enjoyed the relaxed pace, and exploring.

U - Encouraged teammates.

A – ACTION: Did heavy cleaning today, plus a mile walk, and helped hubby hauling.

Y - YOU -‘ME TIME' - I had about 2 hrs in the sun, relaxing. Awesome! I wanted to nap!

ACTION - I behaved myself at a chinese buffet! No fried foods and kept my portions down!! I've also been really good about tracking this week and I've done well limiting my diet soda intake.

ME TIME - Went to Kung Fu, socialized with co-workers, and played a bunch of Zelda Skyward Sword last night.

Down 0.8 lbs today! I'll take it!

N - NEW: I've been trying new snacks this week, trying to get in more veggies. I am actually enjoying raw carrots, celery, and cucumbers. I've tried Tahini as well, which I really like, and I've re-introduced guacamole which is tasty with hummus, along with raw veggies.

A (Action) - I've been really good this week about tracking my food and limiting my diet soda intake, which is crazy hard for me. I've been motivated to work out too - thanks to this little challenge! I have been going over my calories though, but that will be a goal for next week.

Y (Me time) - I'm finding that "me" time is my Spark People time and the times I actually take to go to Kung Fu and exercise. It's helping me and I enjoy both activites. BONUS!

Just Do It - I finally purged a closet and let go of the extra loose clothing, and excess baggy shirts. Things I no longer wear. They were comfy, but I just feel sloppy in them now.

N - NEW: Try something new. made a new marinade. was good.

U - UPLIFT and support your teammates came back to edit this. i encouraged a teammate. hope she listens....we've both had some difficulties and lost our momentum. i gained back too much of the weight and need to make me lose it afgain and some more.

A – ACTION: Take action toward meeting your current goals. filled my bottle. kept it on my desk and finished it. haven't done this in far too long.

results for 1/14:

J - Just Do It!!! I did not want to exercise. I was tired and my day went by quickly so I didn't think I had time to exercise. I made myself do a little something and I got in 21 minutes of exercise on the treadmill.

A - Active I added some crunches to my exercise today.

J - did my exercise despite not being motivated.
A - added some squats to my exercise routine

1/16
J - got in walking on the treadmill even though it was late in the day.
A - did some more squats with my regular exercise

ACTIVE - Leslie Sansone video + 5" on elliptical in the morning, and elliptical + core exercises in the afternoon

ACTION - planned the day's menu in the morning, followed plan, recorded in food journal

ME TIME - played computer game in afternoon, did Swedish weaving in evening

Yesterday went pretty well!

A (Action) - Drank my 8 glasses of water, tracked my calories, and ate (mostly) healthy. My downfall is that I did go over my calorie limit and I did have two pre-birthday cookies, which of course was what put me over that limit. Today's a new day though!

Y (You - "Me time") - Did my first weigh in for awhile, read my book, and took the time to Spark for me.

Looking forward to tackling today's challenges!!

Uplift - supported members by giving support and encouragement.

Action - I've worked toward my goals of 5-8 freggies daily, moving 10+ min daily, and portion control.

Active - I have planned to do some activity each day this week - movement, movement, movement!
New - I plan to try a new video that's been sitting by my vcr - old (obviously), but not used by me yet!
Uplift - I'm also trying to reach out and encourage others with their goals more than I have been
Action- I'm going to see my doctor this week to discuss how things are (or are not) in regards to weight loss. I am also making a concerted effort to add back in the strength training as well as yoga to my regular exercise routine

I'm working on A (Active) and Y this week. For A (Active) I'm going to work on limiting my diet soda intake as well as eating less and tracking my meals. For Y (You) I made sure to actually weigh in and face the facts. I can't help myself if I'm not facing reality! Now that I have my baseline I'm going to focus on me by setting aside time to read and do some soul searching. Spark People also helps with this!

J - just do it. I got up and did my exercise and pushed myself ot do 65 minutes
A - Active, move the step height to up by 2" and did 5 sets on the higher steps. WooHoo! What a workout.

My focus this week will be -

ACTIVE - I haven't been exercising regularly due to being sick but now I'm well enough to restart my exercise. This week I'll work on getting back to daily exercise.

ACTION - I'm starting a new food journal today, counting calories, focusing on making healthy snack choices and paying close attention to portion sizes.

ME TIME - I'm going to set aside time every day just for me, to do anything I want.

Today I've completed:

J-I finally purged the cookbook area of the pantry. All of the old (really old), unhealthy cookbooks/magazines, etc, are in the trash. Now I have room for my new, healthy books and recipes. All will be in one place, and organized!

A-I've added extra activity to my day by shopping for about an hour.

U-I uplifted by huddling and providing support on a blog.

A-I took action toward meeting my goals by upping my freggies to 8 svgs today, being more active, and by meeting my water goals.
