Yeasterday, I did an extra half hour of housework and shopped for over am hour with my 5 year-old daughter.

Today, I swept and vacuumed the whole house. Talk about working up a sweat! emoticon

Friday I didn't burn the extra 100 calories. I sat in front of the television and cried all day. 27 innocent people lost their lives 20 of them children. It was such a bad day.

Tuesday and Wednesday are my no cardio days, so I didn't burn the extra 100 either day. Yesterday, I shopped for an hour and a half. According to my HealthCalcs app that was 299 calories. I've asked hubby for a fit bit for Christmas. So, it'll be easier to keep track of the extras. Today's our lunch date day. I'm going to see if I can get him to go walking around town with me after!

Wednesday and Thursday were lean days for exercise. I made up for it today. I walked on the treadmill for 45 mintues and burned 229 calories. Then I got on the bike and burned an additional 301 calories. So I got my 100 in!! WooHoo!!

When I stick to my routine, I already burn more than 100 calories a day. I will challenge myself to burn an EXTRA 100 calories. I need to anyway, since I've been slacking for a while.

Burn 100 Calories Challenge

We all know that successful weight loss and maintenance is a balance between calories in and calories out. This week we will focus on calories out. Your challenge is to burn 100 calories through exercise/ movement each day. (You burn calories by sitting or sleeping but we’re not going to count those!).

There are plenty of quick workouts that can help you burn approximately 100 calories. Ideas include:
• Housework (20 minutes)
• Swimming (about 15 minutes)
• Walking the dogs (10-15 minutes)
• Dancing (20 minutes)

Remember that the number of calories burned varies according to weight.
The SP fitness tracker tells you how many calories you burn for each activity.

For this challenge you need to BURN 100 CALORIES EVERY DAY but you can modify this challenge to make it work better for you: you can choose to burn 100 calories more than you usually do if you already exercise regularly, or maybe you’d like to burn more calories each day to help you to lose a pound this week (500 calories x 7 days = 3500 calories = one pound lost! So long as you don’t indulge in too many holiday treats – remember it’s a balance of calories in and calories out). Or maybe you prefer to vary how many calories you burn each day to fit in with your routine? Or you could increase the number of calories you burn progressively each day.
