I pledged 1000 minutes, plus a harder effort to get strength training in. I achieved 1233 minutes and did so so on the strength training. Still baby stepping toward a strength program that will work for me.

Just finished my workouts Dizzy. I got 45 minutes in for my cardio workouts with my Zumba routine(s), 3 minutes tummy tucks for my 60 second challenge and who knows what I'll do tonight yet. :) Total of 48 minutes and I've exceeded my monthly goal of 1200 totalling 1227!!!!

27 minutes over. Whew! I didn't think I'd do it!

Yeah Baby!

Way to go Dizzy. :)

Still don't know what my goals for June will be. I'll have to get back to you on that. :)

Dizzy, I don't blame you for not commiting to 45 minutes. Man! That's tough! I understand completely. But I did do 45 minutes of a workout. Housework never came to be. I got called out on work and had a couple of reports to complete and submit. Tomorrow I'll try and devote my day to the housework. :)

I did my 45 minutes for today, did you????? I did my outside challenge and sat out with hubby again on deck for 30 minutes, 10 minutes challenge, my 60 second challenge and my 45 minutes with you. (smiling)

SUPERACHIEVER - how's that housework coming on - knocking off those minutes?
I won't commit to 45 mins a day for a whole month lol - I only commit to 10 mins a day - if I set it higher then it messes things up - if it's only 10 mins then I'll definitely do (and usually carry on) but if it's 45 then I might not - if that makes sense!

Dizzy, dizzy, dizzy: You are something else! No wonder you are so good at this. Already met your new goal of 400 MORE MINUTES for this month. Unbelievable but fantastic. You have apparently been exercising for a lot longer than I have.

You're on lady! 45 minutes a day. I will commit to that for next month with you. But I've got to warn you ..... I'll be doing a lot of housework tomorrow beside the aerobic dance routine.

Oh and, by the way, you can add another 10 minutes to this. I went up and down the stairs at least 8 times or more moving my office stuff back into my home office. That makes a total of 61 minutes for the day. Now I only have 68 minutes to go in the next 2 days (34 minutes a day).

SUPERACHIEVER - thank you again for more kind words!! I'm a long way off being bikini ready lol but I am only 3lbs away from my next reward - it's a garden swing seat and I REALLY want it while the weather's good - very motivating!! Do you give yourself rewards - it really works for me!!

The exercise definitely gets easier the more you do it. Remind yourself how far you've come - you've only missed 3 days this month even though this is really your first month of exercising seriously - that's pretty amazing! And you've already created a habit with the 60 seconds challenge - woohoo!

Keep going - you can do it!! If it's feeling too much try adding 10 mins exercise sessions throughout the day - it really adds up quickly and is easy to fit around all the other stuff you need to do!

Dizzy, you are so amazing! Way to go lady! I am sooooooo proud of you having attained your monthly goal. I'm doing everything I can to make it to mine. But the exercising is finally, I can say, getting easier to do over a longer period of time.

Way to go Dizzy. You are an inspiration to me! Keep on keeping on. You can do it. Adding to your monthly goal with only 3 days left in the month really shows your motivation. Sounds like you're going to get into that bikini before me!

Here's my update for the month:

1200 Minutes = goal

05.01.12 - 35 minutes of strengthening exercises (Day 3 Video) and 36 minutes of cardio
05.02.12 - 10 minutes of strengthening exercises (Day 4 Video) and 15 minutes of cardio
05.03.12 - 20 minutes of strengthening exercises (Day 5 Video) and 47 minutes of cardio
05.04.12 - 20 minutes of strengthening exercises (Day 6 Video)
05.05.12 – 25 minutes of strengthening exercises (Day 7 Video) and 20 minutes of cardio
05.06.12 – 30 minutes of strengthening exercises plus 15 minute walk with dog
05.07.12 – 30 minutes of strengthening exercises plus 20 minutes of cardio
05.08.12 - 15 minutes of cardio (Bollywood) so far!
05.09.12 - Oooppss, bad day. Nothing accomplished! :(
05.10.12 - 30 minutes of walking and 30 minutes of gardening, mulching and raking!
05.11.12 - 20 minutes walking at Home Depot and then 20 minutes gardening, mulching and raking again
05.12.12 – 20 minutes Yogilates and 60 minutes of walking
05.13.12 – 40 minutes – heavy cleaning for Mother’s Day
05.14.12 – 20 minutes Zumba dancing!
05.15.12 – 195 minutes of heavy cleaning in the garage! Oiy!
05.16.12 – 50 minutes of strengthening (hips, glutes and thighs video plus crunchless core and lower body stretching and butt blasting videos) and 30 minutes Zumba dance routine for cardio
05.17.12 – 20 minute Dumbbell video and 30 minute Zumba dance routine
05.18.12 – None – day got away from me – DRATS! Ran out of day! J
05.19.12 – 20 minute dumbbell video
05.20.12 - 20 minute dumbbell video and 20 minutes Beginers Latin Dance Aerobics
05.21.12 – 20 minute dumbbell video and 20 minutes Beginners Latin Dance Aerobics
05.22.12 - One of those days. Gone before I could do my exercising - DRATS!
05.23.12 - 2 Minutes (crunches/bridges) and 11 Minutes Strengthening

05.26.12 - 2 Minutes (Seated Leg Lifts) and 45 minute workout moving out of my office at work
05.27.12 - 5 Minutes Dumbbell Side Stretches, 1 Minute of crunches and bridges
05.28.12 - 45 Minutes Bible time (not counted in exercise # but tracked for 5 minutes outside challenge) & 1 Minute crunches and bridges, 40 minutes aerobic dance

I need 43 minutes minimum each day between now and the end of the month to meet that 1200 minutes goal. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

I'll be working on accomplishing 50 - 60 minutes today by adding another Zumba into the equation. ;)

I've been BAD! I've got to do a minimum of 45 minutes a day to meet my goal. Well, guess I better get cuttin. I hit a slump lately and things were hitting me from all sides. But enough is enough. Back to my zumba, stretching and whatever else it takes to get those 45 minutes done every day .... if not more!

JOETTE - it takes time to change habits and establish routines - you did strength in 60 second challenge today - that's a good start - now just focus on doing it again tomorrow - while the kettle's boiling, or while you're cleaning your teeth - you can do it!

Oh my! Another thread I didn't get notices on... And it completely slipped my mind. :(

I have a 1000 minutes a month goal. I am at 847 for the month. I have a "20 minutes a day, no matter what - NO EXCUSES" rule. I have kept my streak going since sept 9, 2011. Still working on that magic formula that will work at getting me in to some strength exercises. The 60 second challenge should be what I do! But haven't made that part of my daily routine either.

Anybody out there notice they haven't seen me around in a bit... Feel free to rattle my cage a bit. ;)

I'm OK Dizzy. That's what I get for doing a new video and not watching to make sure my knees were bent when doing an exercise. That's what did it I think. I went out for a walk and then to the library and was much better so I think I was sitting too long. :)

Doing my exercises late in the evening but I'm starting the 60 second challenge tomorrow morning so my exercising will be getting done in the early am, thus helping me to jumpstart my days and get going sooner than later, which is what I need.

It's just that I've been fulfilling my exercise goals and daily requirements with other things other than what is asked for in the Spring Challenge. I have to get back in to accounting for it.

doing spring challenge and weekly challenge, but nothing else besides qigong cause i'm sick.

SUPERACHIEVER - I do zumba at the gym and the class runs for 60 minutes. It is usually 6-7 songs long with a warm up and cool down.
