Today I tried the Spark People Bootcamp video for Kickboxing. I am going to try to incorporate that into my routine. Also purchased the 28 day bootcamp so I am eager to get started with that as well.

Tues - posted meaningful status instead of just result of wheel spin - received comments so was totally worth it - pleased I did! Have continued this all week. Weds - Tried low impact cardio video featured as exercise of the day in Tuesday's email - it was ok, struggled to follow at times so probably need to do it again to get the best from it although it was cut off abruptly without cool down or stretches as it was an excerpt - I hadn't realised that when I started... Thurs - made a new recipe - marrow & coconut soup - easy to follow & tasty - will use it again! Fri - another new strength exercise - boxer - not sure my execution was as it should be but if I keep trying then I'm sure I'll get better!

I have problems with my hands and wrists so I got the little squeeze balls with a strengthen work for the hands and wrist. Started it this am.
i tried standing side bend with towel for this challenge and was surprised to find that it feels different than dumbbell side bends. it felt harder.

Starting this week, trying to get in more strength training. Got a book from Prevention that describes different strength workouts to do for the next 4 weeks. There are a few things I am struggling on (due to having a double masectomy about year & half ago), but going to work on getting stronger. Also, trying to take the dog for a walk 3 times a week for some extra cardio for both of us!

Way to go. I've got to get myself to walk more. I started walking with my dog but then it got cold outside and I haven't gotten back to it. It's my intention to do that today and every day hereafter.
Exciting stuff Glad it's going so well & you're all enjoying things & excited!
23/4 Tried the Genie Sit lower body strength exercise - I wasn't sure that I'd be able to do it but I did! Could REALLY feel it working those muscles!! I'll definitely do it again and will probably put it into my routine for a while
Ok so yesterday I did a little more fitness then I usually did, and I loved it!! I went for a walk with my daughter around a lake, which I usually don't do by myself but I loved it.
Tonight I will work out again, and probably take another walk and that should be awesome!!

I agree. Nothing like change to add a bit more spice to your life.
Well, I'm still searching for the right combination of exercise routines to incorporate in my exercise regime.
I've got to tell you, I tried the 14-Minute Bollywood Dance Workout and LOVED IT! I'm taking things easy until I can build up my stamina, especially since I have a bad back which I won't talk about. Strengthening and stretching are both excellent ways for me to get back in the swing of exercising, although I am also still looking for the right cardio routine to incorporate into my daily exercises. This Bollywood thing was then followed up with Coach Nicole's 10 minute Cardio Kickboxing workout. Well that certainly had my blood flowing and my heart beat up there.
LOVED IT! Like I said before. I think I may have found a couple programs I may keep on doing for while til something else here at SparkPeople catches my eye.
I am going to run an 8K race on Saturday for the first time! I have run two 5K´s, but am ready for a new challenge!!!
5K 7/13/2013 Color Run, Lansing, MI Untimed
10K 6/30/2012 Whitmore Lake, MI 1:10 2nd in my age division. 61st place overall

Try something new today...
A new lifestyle requires us to make changes to the way we do things, to challenge the status quo and do things differently, which usually means doing something new or doing something in a new way.
That's our challenge for this week - no matter where you are on your journey, let's shake things up and try things we haven't done before. It could be trying a food you haven't eaten before, a different exercise, posting to a message board for the first time, trying a new recipe, leaving a message on someone's Sparkpage, exercising at a different time - the list is endless! It doesn't matter what you do or whether you stick to the same category for the entire week (eg a new food every day) just try something new!
Come back here and share what you did. Did you enjoy it? Why? Why not? Is it something you will do again or incorporate into your routine?
