Hi All!
Well Bob came over after hiking all day about 4pm and we talked and laughed and talked some more he just left and it is almost 11. I have been awake for 22 hours! No wonder I am yawning. All that time when Bob was here I did not eat a thing. !
lol
No I am not on HRT, not really having any hot flashes and there is so much risk with HRT, and I have so much trouble with estgogen any way ( that is why I had to have the hysterectomy, The unapposed estrogen was causing swollen hard breasts and uterine polyps to grow.
Any way, sweet dreams.
See you tomorrow.

Hey everyone!
Boy, there's lots of activity around her today! Wow! I'm just sitting here looking out the picture window at snow coming down pretty hard. It's so pretty. My DH and I have considered covering this window a few times, but once we saw the snow on the trees.....it has to stay just how it is. It's so pretty.
I would have to agree with Roz, PJ. Are you on fire is hilarious! Not in the middle of the night, but I've got a big grin on my face. :o) I wanted to ask you if you were on hormone therapy or anything like that. I feel they way you're feeling right now when I'm full blown in my TOM. I think most women go through those symptoms, but I wasn't for sure about after surgery stuff. The good new is that more than likely it will pass soon. At least mine does.
I'm glad to hear you're alright Roz. I was thinking about you too when I heard the weather situation in your area. How is it coming along with the repairs for all those people without power. I can't imagine not having the basics in the middle of the winter! NO WAY!
Well, the kiddos are getting ready to go sledding. (Sounds like fun doesn't it?) And I've already taken a test, gone grocery shopping and now I have to start on the laundry. YUCK! Laundry is my least favorite thing, followed by the toilet.
And to everyone else, I missed I pray you're all having a blessed (and safe) day. Amarasmom -- it's nice to see you're due date. Both of my girls were born in June. One on the first and one on the thirteenth. My oldest is going to be 15 on monday! I'm getting old! Or feeling it anyway.
Have a great day ladies! BBL

Hi Roz, oh yeah I have fresh pineapple, pomagrantes, apples, pears, tons of fresh veggies, and I have been eating them along with everything else, I am just not satiated with anything, feel like I am starving and nothing is enough. This will pass thought I might as well process it while I was going through it this time instead of pretending I don't go through it.
big hugs,

Hi Pjoy,
Thanks for caring and being concerned.
Hope Daniel is okay. Are you on fire, that was funny. I am sure it was not amusing at 1 am though!
Good, you are feeling better. Do you have any good raw veggies in the house today?? You usually do. Try to make yourself substitute them for the "other" stuff. I know it's hard, but after all, we can do this!! I love cashews, they are not allowed in my house. There are lots of things that are not here, that is the only way I can be sure to control myself. I allow myself those little handi-snacks sugar free puddings and some microwave popcorn. other than veggies for a snack, that's it. Good luck with the food battle today. Maybe you have an easy DVD you could workout to? Or some meditation? Maybe that would help. Or if the weather is permitting, a bike ride to Andy's or a walk over the bridge?? That usually makes you feel good. Try it.
Hi Lorraanne, thanks for the googie! Delightful..Will BBL

Hi Roz honey!
Good to see you !
I was concerned that your power was out glad to hear you are warm and safe, be careful out there! No it was not Daniel, it was Richard, I could shake him, he does this often. I did not close my bedroom door last night like I have been that is why I heard the phone and heard the phone and heard the phone when I finally answered it I yelled into the reciever " ARE YOU ON FIRE?" LOL He stammered and said 'WHAT?" I said if "you are not on fire you better have a good reason to be calling me more than one time in the night!" He is retired Navy and a retired cop from injuries and disability and has a sleep disorder from chronic pain like I do so he assumes if he is awake I am awake. Geez!
Daniel I am worried about I called him the other day because he is out on a run and the weather is stinking up there in the upper 47 ( winking at you all )and he has not called back. Hopefully he is safe and just having a difficult time emotionally. This is his first Christmas without his wife ( she died last March ) and around Thanksgiving he withdrew and did not answer his phone or call back for a few days because he was having a very difficult time.
I finally got my shower and am wide awake and keep thinking about eating. Cashews were my undoing already today. I can not buy things like that, I can not not eat all of them if they are in the apartment escpecially now! no such thing as a serving size right now.
Big hugs right back to you.
PJ

Hi everybody,
It is very cold here again today. In the low double digits. BBRR!! There is still plenty of snow on our ground. The trees are all bending over and covered with ice. It looks like there are ice sculptures everywhaere. I am sure most of you heard on the news about the massive ice storm we had here. Heck, half of New Hampshire is out of power. No heat or anything. Shelters have opened up all over and the Governor has declared a state of emergency. We are very lucky in our town, no power outage.
Jonathan and I are going to be going out to do a bit of shopping soon. There are some new chicken recipes I found here on Sparks that I want to try. I have been trying to save money on our food budget (well, a little more than usual!) due to costs associated with the closing on the house. The family doesn't mind eating chicken a bit more, heck they are actually eating better again, since I am cooking some, rather than Jonathan all the time. ( for those that don't know, he has been preparing the meals for him and my 2 teenaged sons since 14 months ago so I could eat healthy, they won't always go along!) I have made a few chicken dishes that they all ate and enjoyed. We also need to go on a box hunt. We all did a lot of packing yesterday and are running low on boxes. I wonder how many calories packing uses up??? Bending and lifting and such, gotta be some! Also got a lot of cardio in yesterday. Treadmill and the airdyne bike. Twice on the bike. My endurance on the bike is really improving a lot. I am very happy about that.
Pjoy, sorry to hear you did not sleep well. I know those skeletons that still haunt you. Knowing them will enpower you, I know I am not telling you anything you don't know, but along with that comes the biggest hug imaginable!! The weight will come back off, you know that too. I know how frustrating it can be to be yo-yo ing. Maybe it is also due to your returning to formal exercise. However, I know how relieved you must be to no longer have those awful hot flashes. I had them too for a long time. It seems that regular exercise chased them away. Or maybe a year or two was long enough. Who knows, but I was not sorry to see them go!! Was that Daniel that was passing through? Too bad he woke you. Hope you get a nap in!
Hi Lorra, good job on the tracking!! I use mine all the time, it really helps me a lot. It's amazing the mistakes you can make when you don't meassure and track what you're eating. So happy to hear that you and your kids are over all that sickness. Have a good weekend at work, and stay on track! WTG!!! Also on the loose pants!!YAY!!
Kari, try to stay warm. Flannel is a wonderful thing!
BTW, Hi Pat!! Great to see that you checked in!! Nice to know you are okay.
Martie, how did the Christmas shopping go? All those grandkids to get for, holy smokes that is a big job! I bet you are having fun with Amber today. Enjoy your cookie day tomorrow. I do remember you doing that last year! I am hoping to get my grandson here next weekend for a Christmas celebration. We will see.
Hi Jennifer, having fun with your FREE time. What a kind MIL you have to take the children. Did you get the tree up today?? Have fun cookie baking tomorrow. Maybe I will do some with my boys too. You all have me thinking now. My issue is that I don't want them ( the cookies!) in the house, too tempting. But maybe we will do some Joey's peanut butter cookies. Or something. HHMM..
Hi Christy and healthy bear.
Hi to anyone I may have left out, it was not intentional and I surely hope you all are having a nice day!! This has become a novel, my bad. I guess I felt like communicating!! Will check in later! Take care....

Hi Kari!
I have been sleeping like that down here . LOL I should be sweating but I'm not, well most of the time I'm not. My hot flashes dissappeared with the hysterectomy very odd but I am not complaining.

Ahhh... I'd take it. We've been colder than normal this December. And, since I'd been losing weight again... I'm always cold! I sleep in sweats or flannel pajamas with flannel sheets, blanket, and comforter. You'd think I'd sweat off weight in my sleep.. LOL!

Hi Lorra ,
we had a cool front come through the day before yesterday we were in the 40s this morning and it is 75 now, I am in my leggings , pj top and jean shirt and freezing. LOL It was sunny out but now is overcast and breezing out. When it gets low humidity and in the low 70s Floridians put on their long pants, it is the tourists that have the white skin and jump in the ocean this time of year them and the surfers LOL though we don't have much surf unless we have a storm. We have temperatures in the high 80s to high 90s from March to November down here and from June 1 to the end of November is our rainy season, we get over 60 inches of rain here a year and most of that in the rainy season. Even in our dry season we have higher humidity than the west does in it's rainy season. We have not had a freeze down here since I have been in south Florida ( 8 years )but this is the coolest November and December since I have been down here. Last year I wore my long pants only 3 days and did not wear my leggings to bed one night, I have been wearing them since October this year at night. Granted my fan is on when I am asleep even if it is cool I like the breeze on my face and need the white noise to sleep.
We are supposed to be in the mid to high 70s all of next week, 50s and 60s at night.

Oh yeah that's right PJ you do live in the subtropics don't you? LOL...yeah that would be a site and scary if you all got snow there! What's the coldest it gets temperature wise there? I mean I am still running around in short sleeves up here for the moment and it's ranging between 37-45 degrees. But I am polar bear and I am used to this weather...we break out the shorts and barbecues in March when it's 55-60 degrees if we're fortunate to get any sunshine for a day...LOL

HI Lorra,
No snow here in south Florida lol That would be very odd in the sub tropics! i am on the east coast 100 miles north of Miami. Hope you have a great weekend, and stay well, and safe. I don't like driving in snow either, I have lived where it snows ( California ). Thank you for your kind words.

Good Morning/Afternoon to you all. Hey PJ, I admire your accountability. When I get into eating frenzies like that it's really hard for me to stop and most of the times I am thinking "mess this, I am hungry and I am going to eat". Fortunately it passes and I am learning to recognize and move on forward and hopefully make a better choice or option.
Wishing you a restful weekend with full recovery for a "kick butt" week of knocking that weight back to where it came from! LOL
But seriously I do hope you have a great weekend.
Not sure if anyone else here has snow or what have you, but I live in WA state and more towards the coast and they keep telling us to expect it tonight...Kinda pretty here when it snows with all our evergreen trees, just not too crazy about driving in it when I have to work.
Otherwise my weekend's going good and still on track with tracking food.
Take care everyone and talk to you all again soon!

Hi Christy and DJ thank you for the good thoughts and words. I am not moping just being accountable for my actions. I am exhuasted have not gone back to bed am thinking about it but have not gone yet have been up since 1am and I am sore from my workouts yesterday, boy my muscles are weak from surgery. I can not believe my legs , I struggled in pilates yesterday could barely do anything and now I understand why, my legs hurt at the tops of them the muscles that you need to lift them straight up when you are lying down not the muscles I use in spin class . Interesting in some ways it feels like I have to start completely over with training and working out after surgery 2 months ago today and other ways I feel pretty well.
Have a great day all!

Hi PJoy,
You have done wonderful with your weight lose journey. Try to feed your stress with something other than food. When you feeling it real bad go to the beach. A walk on the beach will be great exercise plus the sound of the ocean with help you to get your thoughts together.
Swimming would be the best exercise when your body is hurting real bad. I hope you have a great day! Julie emoticon

Hi all!
2:30 am and I have been up for an hour and a half. Went to bed at 9pm , was awakened by the phone ringing about midnight, and again every 15 minutes until I finally got up to answer it at 1am. Dang friend calling from the road said ' WELL I WAS COMING TO SEE YOU BUT YOU WOULDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE"
GRRRR they are north of Tampa , spending the night there may or may not come down here tomorrow. GRRR
MY eating is out of control. I have been eating anything and everything ( well within what I like ) but am 'hungry'constantly. I feel like a dang 'junkie' at the moment. It is related to the trauma of surgery , I think I have figured that out from my nightmares this past week. That mixed with this time of year, not so much the holiday but old traumas that happened this time of year and my body still not being the strong body. I have put on 10 pounds in 3 weeks! back up to 200.
BOTHER!
