still chugging along. We have a trip this week so will need to practice all I've been learning.

Still the same since my last post on Feb 24, but I understand the last few pounds are always the hardest to lose. I have lost 1 inch in my waist though, so I am making progress even if the scale doesn't show it!

worked out harder than ever before. can't see much change on the scale. Made mostly all good food choices. I think my attitudy was good, but am a little disappointed not to see a change yet.

Stayed the same since I last posted (2/1/10) but I expected that given the time of month. I have been eating right and exercising, so I expect to be down a little by next week! Congrats to everyone for sticking to your plan!

Did a bit of a slow down this week, only lost 1/2 pound, I think I hit a plateau, I guess I should start exercising now. So far it's been 13 pounds in 4 weeks and four days before leaving for skiing. I need to make that next 2 pounds for my goal.

This is the most active I've been since probably November, and I'm slowly losing even if it is in teeny tiny steps emoticon I still slip up with my food. I had two pieces of chocolate gateau yesterday (it was supposed to be one small piece ended up being that small piece and a larger piece) Luckily I reined myself in from taking a third piece, so I guess it's progress?!?!

I had an okay week. Working out has gone well, but I got a little too frivolous with food. I need to reign that back in, and keep the workout strong. I think the key will be more protein earlier in the day, so I don't feel as hungry, and to try to make my time with friends less food/alcohol oriented.

Good suggestion. I think I am adding muscle and losing fat, but the scale won't tell you that. I think I will invest in a tape measure and change some of my goals.

TUCKERW: It's normal to reach a plateau sometimes in weight loss. Just keep at it and you should see results. Maybe try switching up your exercise routine and be sure to drink plenty of water. Also, try tracking your measurements.

I haven't lost any pounds in the last 2 weeks, but I have lost 5 1/2 inches in my arm, hip, and thigh measurements combined.

I was elated this morning to see that I was down three pounds. I was on a little plateau for a few weeks and my body was retaining water and holding onto the weight even though I was consistently doing all the right things. I knew it would come off eventually if I stayed on track.

On other programs, I have had similar situations but got frustrated and sabatoged my efforts before I could see the results of all my hard work. For some reason, this time around I am not falling into that trap. I feel positive and I feel very fortunate to be part of this community.

After thanksgiving, I gained about 3 lbs. I was disappointed and have not really been faithful tracking for the past week. I'm not letting my old ways get me down. Today, the gym was closed because of the snow storm, so I did a couple of work out vidoes at home. Tomorrow, I am going to wake up early to get in a work out video. 190's hear I come!.....

I am not sure if I ever properly introduced myself to this group! I am new here. I have been a member for three weeks. I have had some ups and downs but overall I love the program and it is working for me. I had a great week- I lost 4 pounds. Do not get me wrong- it was a very difficult week. I made many sacrifices but I am proud of my success!

Congrats to your guys who have lost weight. For you guys who are having a little trouble you can do it. All of us are different and go at different rates. Keep up the good work. Sorry about your physical problems yellow09RED. Keep up your good attitude. I lost a pound this week. I have fun tracking my foods and keeping within my calorie intake. I'm hit and miss on the exercise but I'm trying. Need to drink more water too.

I had a walking cast put on last Friday for my left ankle.
I did my upper body strength exercises on Saturday for 30 minutes, 40 min. on Monday and 45 mins. on Wed. I am feeling much better this week. My spirit is wonderfully lifted.

I think I am finally getting with the program..being honest..and hopefully being committed to making it to my goal of 117 by Jan 1...it will be tough as I have only lost one pound so far..but I have stopped complaining...a major hurdle for a whiner like me...I am up on positive ground and want to stay there..so the scale does not show much..but my attitude has improved considerably... emoticon

It was a bumpy week. I had a headache for three days, and that slowed down my progress. All in all I'm feeling pretty good, and going for a good week this week. Planning to work hard early in the week, so I can splurge a little on Thanksgiving.

I hate cooking. I have a very large family and each person has to cook one day a week. Nothing very good for me of course. But I need to learn how to eat all foods in moderation. I do get my water in without problems. It's hard to balance it all emoticon

lol evil cookiedough and chocolate!! I am lucky none is in the house.

I didn't lose any but I am tracking everyday and I managed to finally do 8 cups or more of water a day! Since we live in a house of 7 people it's hard to eat what's made, so I took over cooking. LOL Started Saturday, I picked 14 recipes from Sparkpeople. (No one else realizes its diet food!)

I did not exercise at all, but hopefully I can start getting in 10mins per day.

I'm struggling - a lot. I know what I need to do, but it's so hard for me to get my will in line with my plan.

I can't decide, it seems, what I want more - to get in shape and feel better about myself or cookiedough.

I embrase those things in my life that give me joy and pleasure. Those that wound or displease me, I crush under the heel of my boot.

I fell this week on Tuesday morning while jogging outside. Also I hurt my back on Wed.morning. I have spinal stenosis.
I had x-rays done on Friday. I should hear tomorrow about the results.
It has been hard for me not to exercise or walk this week. My eating has been bad as I have been in bed.

I did pretty well this week. Did my tracking which was cool, and liked how I could print out my food journal and show to my trainer. I'm still confused about some of the fitness tracker options.

I do Body Pump at the YMCA which is an hour-long weight lifitng class. I don't know whether to log that under cardio (about 400 calories burned) or strength (works 10 muscle groups) or both. Any ideas?

I found 3-4 pm to be my worst time also. I purchased greek yogurt and had it with fruit for my snack yesterday afternoon--that saved me. I know now to plan for this snack hour.

I have lost about 4 lbs since Nov. 4, but I could probably do better if I didn't feel like I need chocolate in the middle of the day. By the time my little lays down for a nap, I am zonked and I think that the chocolate gives me a boost. I have been doing great with exercising and keeping track of what I eat, but usually around 3-4 o'clock it hits me and I need some will power to get over it! emoticon

I lost 5.2 pounds my first week! I'm still getting the hang of the tracking. The food tracking is really helpful because I get immediate feedback I can use. Great tool!
I almost cheated twice this week with food but used these two strategies that worked: I do not keep cheat food in the house and I substituted low calorie alternative. My cheat crave is ice cream and my substitute is greek yogurt with blueberries and strawberries.
The motivational stories have been helpful. I'm also listening to Jillian Michaels on Kfi 640 while I enter things in the computer. emoticon emoticon

I need WILL POWER! One day I do good then the next day I feel like I'm starving and fall back into old patterns. How does everyone stick to their goals?

This past week I was very inconsistant in reaching my goals. Some days I did well others I did not. Hoping I do better this week.

It is day 2! Tracking is good, walking is good. So far so good and it is day 2. Each journey starts with a single step, I am happy to be on the journey. Layed off last week from a stressful job, want to take advantage of the downtime as I search. Less physical me will, I am sure, increase the chances of that new job. Learning better ways to cope with stress will result in a healthier me.

This week i am getting into the habit of tracking everything i eat and getting in my water. I am deciding on an excercise routine and am ready to go. While I started yesterday I think I am doing baby steps for now, but I feel very motivated to go go go

Stumble... trip... stumble... trip...

I'm getting the hang of logging things and planning ahead, but I need to work on will power. I did do my bellydancing workout yesterday - kinda - , and I walked the dog before dinner.

I turned the bellydancing DVD off about halfway through from sheer frustration. It takes time to learn all those moves and get comfortable with it. I was sweating like a hog after twenty minutes! I will do it again, though, and again and again. I'm determined, but still feeling my way around.

Also, grateful for all the support and encouragement I've gotten from the Spark community. emoticon
