Makes total sense to me. If you've gotten to the transplant stage without figuring out how you got there, the chances you'll take good care of a new kidney are too small to risk.
Those who think they have no time for a healthy lifestyle will sooner or later will have to find time for illness.
Informed Patients more likely to get kidney transplants
What you don't know can hurt your chances of getting a transplant. Kidney patients who understand their condition and treatment are more likely to be placed on the transplant waiting list than those who don't, according to new research presented at the National Kidney Foundation's 2013 Spring Clinical Meetings held here today.
