My Neph said my CKD was caused by HBP and meds for Osteoarthritis, so i take nothing for the latter and i am on 3 meds for HBP. My Neph wants the top to be 120 or a little below. I take my BP every day and keep a record of it for the Dr.

Im starting to take control of my life today. I will take care of me, love my self., be good to my self, I am strong, i can do this.

Interesting article Jean!
I always wondered why my nephrologist put me on blood pressure medicine when my BP
is almost always at or below 130/80.
I always get a normal BP at my PCP's office and not at my neph's office. I told the
Medical assistant at my PCP and she was surprised to hear about the difference.
So we should be sure we get a correct reading.
Maybe I can convince them to lower the dosage or eliminate the need for the meds.
We'll see what happens.

My husband has uncontrolled high blood pressure - from dangerously low to frighteningly high throughout the day. They keep mutzing with his meds. Scary scary scary. His kidneys are being effected, although just slightly (his last eGFR was 53). I can't get him to exercise and it's the only thing that will save his life at this point.

Those who think they have no time for a healthy lifestyle will sooner or later will have to find time for illness.
