I'm planning to register as soon as my PT clears me for outdoor running and I'm able to log something longer than 2 miles. (Ughhh been dealing with knee issues since my first half in November.)

I do a charity 5K at Disney every year, and when my parents went with me they book at the Park Vue Inn which is right across from the entrance - it is usually a bit too expensive for me, so last time I stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites which is just about an extra 5-7 minute walk to the main entrance. It is sooo worth it to stay right there rather than fight with traffic getting into the park and then walk all the way to the park from the structure.

So far Park Vue shows $104 and Quality starts at $60 for the Saturday night. I'd recommend either one for this occassion.

We'll be getting a hotel room, and planning to hit the Park the day after the race. I'm also doing the Disneyland Half in September, but going to the Park during Labor Day weekend seemed like a bad idea, given that we can go any other time of the year we want. :)

@Penguin - I also signed up as soon as possible! So I'm in!!! I'm super excited about it and am already thinking about what to wear and how to go about training. Not sure if I'll spring for a hotel, as much as I would like to, since my son is only about 30 minutes away (with traffic and I wouldn't be expecting any at oh...3 in the morning! LOL) and even then I'm only about 70 minutes away without traffic. But they have some good prices at the Good Neighbor hotels...about $110 for the night at a decent hotel within 1 mile of the park.

RunDisney announced their new race this morning (after a month of teasers on Facebook): the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. The inaugural race is set for January 29th, 2012. I signed up as soon as I managed to find the link. :) Anyone else plan to be there?
