I just ran my first half marathon on May 8th. I am not an expert by any stretch, but I am doing more long long runs in my training for my next half marathon. My longest training run was a 12 miler about 4 weeks before my half. I then did two 10 milers and one 8 mile run the Saturday before my half. For me, I think would have benefited from a couple of 11 milers and maybe another 12.
